hey i just want an opinion...my 10c # is like 345XXX, with such a high number, do i stand a chance of getting decent 10c seats or am i better off to try my luck at ticketmaster?

313xxx and there's no way you want to deal with ticketbasturd. I've ben anywhere from row 18 at Thunder Bay to row 33 in Chicago. Either way you won't find anything better than what the 10c offers for us.

I've contemplated getting extra tickmaster tickets shows, 'cause @ 5'-4" I can't see shit if I'm very far back. I'd prefer being up on the sides. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed my Mike's side near behind the stage ticketmaster tickets in Vancouver last year. Those seats were way better than the 21st+ row ten club tickets I had in '03.

just to get back to the 1 ticket option (read- option, you can buy 1 OR 2): how many people here had to either sell their tickets at below cost or even eat them since there were no takers for your extra ticket? Id wager quite a few.

How many times have I heard of people picking up KILLER 10C tickets for $20 bucks or even for FREE.

Also getting a friend to join you might be nice for a show in your home town but what about cases where you travel to different states, to venues where it will be hard to get rid of your extra ticket since the place is out of the way and not too many people go there unless they already have a ticket, like the Meadowlands?

I've never had trouble selling my extra for face value. but maybe I've just been getting lucky.

all of the people who are up front joined before there were even tickets distributed by the Ten Club, now the only reason people are joining is to get the priority tickets. The 1st 3 rows should be random , after that seniority. Oh yeah, the Ten Club should flag Spinbrett put him in the last row on the top for starting whiny threads relentlessly in this forum.

Why is it funny? Of course the people who aren't happy will raise their voice. HELLO? I support a change. For the good of the whole. My number is 103XXX. Everyone with a low number should still get ONE show based on their seniority. A tip of the cap for long time faithfulness. After that, just do it randomly.

Even between us with lower numbers I don't think it is quite fair. Let's say I am in Philly and have number 140XXX. That puts me on the side or back on the floor in the current system due to all the people on the east coast who travel to so many shows. Great side seat, or good middle floor seats. If you had a better system. that would put the same person way up front, in their home town. I just think I would gladly sit a bit farther back, and have some equity. My opinions... not the gospel.
The only problem with the "hometown" idea is people that live in places where Pearl Jam will most likely never play. Vancouver is about a 5-6 hour drive for me and Seattle is a 7-8 hour drive. The Gorge is about a 13 hour drive. With all the 10C members in Seatlle/Washington State, I would never be anywhere near the stage. Seattle is closer to both Vancouver and the Gorge, so people in that area would go to their hometown shows and have better seats than me who has to take time off work, make accomodation arrangements, and find modes of travel. I make it a point to see at least one show that is within reasonable travel distance every tour (not leg). The only way to solve this is for Pearl Jam to play Kelowna.
    Vancouver 07/19/98 Vancouver 05/30/03
    Portland 11/02/00 Vancouver 09/02/05
    Boise 11/03/00 Gorge 1 07/22/06
    Seattle 1 11/05/00 Gorge 2 07/23/06
    Seattle 2 11/06/00 Vancouver 09/25/09

  • Perhaps to solve this, Pearl Jam should tour for the next 30 years, so we all get a chance to have the next 30 years worth of Ten Club membership accumulations, so by year 20 we can all get front row seats. By year 30, thats definate you see, because those members now who have been members for years and years will not be buying Pearl Jam tickets because by that time, those Social Security checks just won't be enough to allow for some extra spending for Pearl Jam concerts.

    That's my theory.

i dunno about you guys, but I've just renewed my membership for 4 years and hope the lapses will move me closer over time. i love my seats, joined in early 03 before the Riot Act tour...

now if my brother could get his number back from when he was 10 years old in '92... damn.
  • I couldn't agree more - I eat tickets every tour!! People say they will go, then 2 months later when the time comes, they bail, and I am stuck with the tickets. My friends are cool with PJ, but none of them love them like me, so getting 4 different people to come with me to shows every tour is usually a challenge!!! I did get a good friend to come with me to the first Gorge show, that should be a real treat for a newbie like her, I know how excited I am!! Hope everyone has enjoyed this tour as mush as I have!!
