I have never bought a ticket from ebay. I sold two Faithless tickets on there because I really just couldn't make it. I bought three tickets to see Muse and sold the spare on Ebay because none of my mates wanted to go. I made face value on both of them so I was happy with that. When I want a ticket, I am there at 9am (or 5pm til 930pm on Monday!). I do have a spare ticket and once my second email comes through I will be going on this forum again to see if anyone, hopefully from the Sheffield area wants to come with me! And that WILL be for about £45 which I paid for it.
Rock on!!!!
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.
and regarding standing next to someone who paid £300 for an Astoria ticket, well I was there with my dad, and i paid for a ticket of ebay on the day of the concert for £320..
well then you should know how much that fucking stinks.
start a thread offering them up at face value, and perhaps you could save face doing so.... its your call
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
i've seen a ebay auction for 3 tickets, (not mr chouder, he's now done the right thing), he put a foot note on saying he'll end his auction when the tickets get to 320 quid, how considerate eh????
i got pissed off and sent him a message simply saying...'tosser'
he sent one back sayin (and i'l type his spelling mistakes):
'who?, your mum who was sucking your cosk last night?, fuck off or i'l shoe you who's a tosser. fuck off and get a life, while you have one.'
nice guy so i replied
'yes, you'l shoe me who's a cosk'

Hey you guys. I moaned and groaned about the ticket stuff last year and got harassed, but the same has happened. Fair enough 10c pre sales-no problem with that. But general sales-what a joke! Rang Wembley Arena 1 Feb, was told tickets on sale 9 am 2 Feb, called back 8.59am 2 Feb-sorry sold out! Sure enough, just like last year at Astoria, Dublin etc... if you wanna pay big-it don't matter a shit if your in any club. Theres a problem guys, and I don't know the answer-other than a UK tour like 2000-did anyone have a problem then ? I do however have a solution. Last year rather than pay black market prices I did some homework, and ended up in Berlin to see the best band in the world-This year, looks like Spain...cost of Wembley ticket on Ebay £100 ish, cost of 2 day pass to Festimad in Madrid and flight from UK...around £90! It's a no brainer guys, get a hotel or camp out and 2 days of Madrid sunshine. Tickets for Festimad are for sale on http://WWW.TICKTACKTICKET.COM . Join me, say "bollocks to the ticket scam". In fact anybody need a lift to the airport from Wales-let me know, and don't forget the sun cream. See you there.

I've got London tickets for this year, but last went to Arnhem. The cost of travelling these days means it isn't that expensive and makes the show even more memorable.
Cardiff 6th June 2000
Arnhem 29th August 2006
London 18th June 2007
how long did it take for the tickets to sell out? there wasnt really any promotion for the tickets besides off the website, i didnt see anything on tickemaster or other ticket sites talking about the upcoming tour. i managed to nab two in block n2, but only just.
God bless you for your kindness, but unless you have a spare Wembley ticket for me-then It's Madrid, and Madrid alone for me. Hope you make Madrid, I'll buy you a San Miguel if we should meet, as so many of the people on here make me (or anyone else who hasn't joined 10c) feel like a bloody parasite. It's interesting to see some of the worst culprits list their PJ shows, which happen to be 2 or 3 shows in 2006. What do I know-i hitched 200 miles in 1992 to see a 40 minute set by my new favourite band, but never joined the fan club-so I feel ever increasingly like I exist only on the periphery of the fan base of PJ. Never mind, as someone once said...."We shall overcome". And also someone once said..."Oh this year I'm off to sunny Spain"... Didn't they? Love to all.

I got an email from http://www.livenation.co.uk on Wed's about the shows. Rang Wembley on Thurs' and was told "on sale 9am Fri". Yet I could have bought as many as I liked from some tout website on Thurs' for £128 each, and when I rang Wembley at 8.59am 2/2/2007-NO FUCKING TICKETS LEFT FOR PEARL JAM!. This is what is pissing me off. There's something worse about Pearl Jam ticket sales than any other band, granted the low number of actual tickets helps toward that. Anyway, I'm off to Spain and fuck the EBAY bastards-the band could get all thase tickets removed from EBAY if they got involved. Love to all.

I went to Dublin last year, sadly only a very short visit, but memorable not just for the concert but being able to explore bits of a great city. This year I didn't renew 10c in time (thanks to not being on the forums to see the rumours) and we didn't luck out in the general sale for Wembley, so, Copenhagen is a definite and am looking into Nijmegen as well. Madrid is a no brainer really, if there are still tickets and I fail to get Glastonbury tickets I may look into this. Travel is good, travelling which includes seeing great bands is better.
The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits

Strange you couldnt get any that early. I got mine around 2.30pm today, granted I dont think there were many left though.
You might want to rethink that, section N/S 1/2 are usually only sold for highly popular shows because of restricted view. From the Theatre Monkey website:
"Most of side blocks N/S 1 and 2 are not used for end stage concerts as they are behind the stage. They are, on occasion sold to personal callers as restricted view seats at the last minute. Ask about them. You can often only see the very front of the stage, but at least it is close to the performers. These seats are worth trying for if anyone will sell them to you and you just want to "be there", but remember that you may well not see as much as you hope."
It's always nice to be "close" to the stage, but you'll probably get a better view from your other seats... although I don't know what you're other seats are! The fact that N/S 1/2 seats started appearing late suggests to me that they weren't initially available, but were released when they realised how high demand was.
Well the other seats were E3......but I take your point. Last gig I saw there was GnR and I was standing in July 06. There were people in S2 then and the way the stage was set it was ok. I guess it depends on the band........PJ never really have banners, flags and all that stuff on stage so the view might be ok........
Aug/Sept 2006: Leeds, Reading, Marseille, Paris, Prague, Berlin
June 2007: Dusseldorf, Copenhagen(still looking for a 10C ticket), Nijmegen (still looking for a 10C ticket)

The online tickets didn't come onsale until about 9:05. Got mine, after rejecting some of the first offers as they were too far back, at 9:15.

Exactly!
I'm not suprised people couldn't buy them at 8.59, because they weren't on sale until 9, and as much as it seems stupid for the sake of 1 minute they are that picky.........
Reading Festival - 27th August 2006
Paris Bercy - 11th September 2006

I have had the same problem lots of times. I did go into Ticketmaster or whoever it was on Friday just to see if I could get some after Monday's debacle and I did. But tried again ten mins later and not a chance. It's an absolute lottery. I'm just glad I got tickets. I really feel for the genuine fans who would do anything for them but they are on Ebay instead - alas it's just the world we live in today.
Rock on!!!!

I've got the chance to buy a ticket in either n3 or n9 sections of wembley.... Anyone know which is the best for viewing stage and overall spectacle - thanks
