I had 2 posters stolen by ten club fans in a tube, so yes I have been there. Ripped off by you guys, after I set the tube down on my seat(and I watched it all night!) so that I could romp around and enjoy the show. The line up to replace those starts

    :nono:

Also, I ripped a poster one time when taking it out of a tube, probably your fault down here as well.

so then you are calling yourSELF a fool then?

Yeah, this is quite foolish. Where's my stuff
  • I applaud the person who helped out. My only question upon seeing this was - you took off a T SHIRT because you were too warm? How many t-shirts/layers did you have on? Or was there a show in GA at Spokane that nobody mentioned? Inquiring minds want to know. If pictures would help, please arrange. Thank you.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

As I read through this thread... I can't believe you have persisted in shitting all over the nice gesture that was freely placed forth by a generous person. For the life of me, I cannot understand why someone would bother to admonish someone for helping another.

Who cares whether she lost the shirt or if it was stolen? And why do you need to rub it in her face?

You also said you were 'ripped off by you guys' and had your poster stolen. Do you seriously think one of the people speaking to this thread had something to do with your posters being stolen? If not... don't you think you are deliberately trying to be confrontational? Is there really a need for that?

While I'm at it... who rips their poster when pulling it out of a tube? Next time get your dad to do it for you.

Sorry to hear that dude. It really sucks. If anyone can help this guy out by finding the shirt having an extra or something I'll pay the shipping cost.
Pearl Jam are good people, mean people suck. I have always felt like this was a community of good people. There is some stuff that's been going on but its really a small amount. A good deed from member to member will go a long way. Lets try to help this guy out if anyone can.
lets do this guy a solid!!!!!

    they complained.
someone said "hey, I'll buy you a replacement since you can't afford it!".

TinAnt has a problem with this transaction.

if an old woman lost her glasses (yes, her own fault), and some good samaritan decided to buy her some new ones, would you tell the person not to so the "foolish old bat could learn a valuable lesson", or do you applaud the good samaritan?

Yeah lets make every nurse out there that gets blamed for stealing shit from old people pay for "stolen" articles...

you're not even making any sense.

  • No matter what happened with the shirt, VedderSweater made a very nice gesture by replacing the shirt, plain and simple. It needs no analysis.

Of course, but if you were following along... she later 'corrected' her choice of words- essentially recanting her initial statement made from emotion.

Feeding the troll? Is this what you are getting at?

Tin... their seems to be a small bit of tension/animosity (for lack of better words) building within you over this matter. Honestly... I get where you are at with your cold analysis, but aren't you glad that, despite the fact we all could have said "Too bad for you", somebody offered to make it better for the person? Aren't you glad that there are people out there that would go to such lengths for another human being that they don't even know?

I don't think you are a bad person... I just think that in light of the richness of the gesture, this is something we should all feel good about and leave it at that.

This person you speak of just seems hell bent on missing that point..

I am curious what posters were lost/damaged of theirs.. we should replace them, just to see if they fight this hard

I get it, Pearl Jam fans are awesome and the most generous people(even as complete strangers) I've had the pleasure of meeting. This does not go unrecognized on my end, as giving and opening your heart has been a theme of Pearl Jam's work for 23 years. But to come into this forum, call us thieves, tell a story about not taking care of their shit and still have people gifting them this shirt is utterly bewildering to me. I don't don't support this type of giving, it is irresponsible and attracts more birds.

ok, now I get it....you seem to think his thread title is accusing ALL ten club members out. She said "ten clubber"; SINGULAR. She knows it's probably a person who has a membership because of the location of their tickets. Pretty simple, really.

    What size was your shirt?

I'm in the giving mood. I'll scour the internet and see if I can find one in your size. May not be the one you lost, or that was stolen, but I'll see what I can to do replace your shirt.
    Very cool of you!

Cognitive maturity? You are the one replacing a person's shirt that they foolishly lost...
I am a bit drunk and just throwing my hat in the ring for shits and giggles, but..

How are you more certain that the OP foolishly lost it than that it was stolen??

either way, seeing that this upset the OP, someone stepped up and replaced it.. This behavior should be applauded. Always!

Either way, they didn't take care of it. Lost or stolen, it is gone because they weren't wearing it.

I don't think this behavior should be rewarded, at all. It takes away personal responsibility and muddies the waters of people claiming they need help. If a person needs actual help(such as the Brazilian girl who got mugged) then resources should be used in for those situations.

It is a shirt, it wasn't being taken care of, the person claimed someone from here stole it from them... there are many things here that point to foolish behavior.

I think it's still just one or two assholes. Most people around here are still pretty cool. :)
