Ten Clubber stole my shirt at Spokane!

Last night at the Spokane show, I was wearing my shirt from the 2012 tour when Missoula was the only non-festival show. I don't get to go to very many shows, because I can't afford them, and when I do go, I rarely buy anything because I can't afford to. That was the first shirt tour shirt I've ever been able to afford, and it means a lot to me. It was just the plain-ish black one that had PJ in a circle on the front, and the four stops listed on back. I took it off in the pit because I was hot, and I stuffed it into the waistband of my pants. Throughout the show, I reached back and checked to make sure it was still securely stuffed in my pants. During Yellow Ledbetter, I reached back to check, and it was gone. Someone either lifted it off me or it fell; regardless, someone took it. I spent the last song (always the best) searching for my shirt.

I am begging the person who took it to please give it back to me.

Maybe the shirt's dropped to the floor, and when somebody founds it; don't have a clue who belongs it.

    Just thinking.

Then you leave it there, right? If you pick it up, it's stealing. I looked for it on the floor during the show. I missed the entire last song looking for it. Everyone around me knew I was looking for it, so the person who had it was near me and knew it was mine and knew I was looking for it. I just want the damn shirt back.

Also, this just popped up on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-PEARL-JAM-2012-Concert-Tour-T-Shirt-S-Small-ONLY-4-US-DATES-foo-fighters-/161161503760?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

Same shirt. Same size. Is it mine? If I could afford to buy it again, I would.

  • What size was your shirt?

I'm in the giving mood. I'll scour the internet and see if I can find one in your size. May not be the one you lost, or that was stolen, but I'll see what I can to do replace your shirt.

I found it on eBay just now. It was posted in the last few hours. Trying to figure out if I can afford to buy it again. Thanks for the offer.

I missed the part where you found out it was a Ten Clubber who stole your shirt?

  • My faith in humanity is restored, thanks to EddieVeddersSweater! Whoa. Seriously. I am, like, completely blown away right now.

One day I'll be able to pay it forward, I promise. <3

Cognitive maturity? You are the one replacing a person's shirt that they foolishly lost...

I am a bit drunk and just throwing my hat in the ring for shits and giggles, but..

How are you more certain that the OP foolishly lost it than that it was stolen??

either way, seeing that this upset the OP, someone stepped up and replaced it.. This behavior should be applauded. Always!

I completely agree with the question posed. Nice wording too.

glad it worked out so well, so quickly. Even with the negativity that permeates this place at times, doesn't it make you feel good knowing there are still some awesome folks around that extend their hearts beyond the keyboard?

Kudos to those here that deserve it. Karma will be kind.

Either way, they didn't take care of it. Lost or stolen, it is gone because they weren't wearing it.

I don't think this behavior should be rewarded, at all. It takes away personal responsibility and muddies the waters of people claiming they need help. If a person needs actual help(such as the Brazilian girl who got mugged) then resources should be used in for those situations.

It is a shirt, it wasn't being taken care of, the person claimed someone from here stole it from them... there are many things here that point to foolish behavior.

I dont know TinAnt.. Its just a shirt. you are right. I personally wouldnt ask for help on this one (not saying the OP even asked, I am to lazy to go back and look, but It doesn't even really matter) and yes better attention should have been paid to the shirt. But, I am fully aware what it is like to be lost in the moment and forget to take care of a shirt.. so the person was rocking out and slipped up with their shirt responsibilities.. I have been there, I hope you have too.. Just the reality that someone was kind enough to replace it is awesome!! and as for that Brazilian girl, I am positive that if someone could solve that because they had a spare passport and lots of money sitting around, they would do it! no questions asked..

Just because some problems are easier to solve than others, doesnt mean credit should be taken away from those trying to help..

someone lost their shirt/got it stolen.
    they complained.
someone said "hey, I'll buy you a replacement since you can't afford it!".

TinAnt has a problem with this transaction.

if an old woman lost her glasses (yes, her own fault), and some good samaritan decided to buy her some new ones, would you tell the person not to so the "foolish old bat could learn a valuable lesson", or do you applaud the good samaritan?

I had 2 posters stolen by ten club fans in a tube, so yes I have been there. Ripped off by you guys, after I set the tube down on my seat(and I watched it all night!) so that I could romp around and enjoy the show. The line up to replace those starts

    :nono:

Also, I ripped a poster one time when taking it out of a tube, probably your fault down here as well.
