That you didn't go to the show especially to see, you must've been going to see the headliners.
Earlier this year I took my 10 year old twins to see Train who they're huge fans of, while they aren't really my thing they were pretty enjoyable. The supporting act was a girl called Gin Wigmore who I was very impressed with.

All my favourite singers have stolen all of my best lines.

MMJ was great a few years ago...
Ben Harper is always good...
Band of Horses 5.21.10 was fantastic...
I saw Dawes open for Mumford and Sons and they were beyond fantastic...
The best though: Public Enemy - opened for Beasties and Run DMC in the late 80's - SICK. Love PE to this day.

Milo Greene opening for The Civil Wars
Dawes opening for Bright Eyes
The Joy Formidable opening for Foo Fighters
I like to make it a point to go in for openers, because I have been surprised a ton by some of them. A few have ended up becoming some of my favorite artists because of it. Some are complete and total busts though, and I think "why did I come in early for this? I could still be at the bar drinking cheaper"

Radiohead opening up for R.E.M. on the Monster tour
Buddy Miles Express opening for Jimi Hendrix Experience
The Alarm opening for U2
Black Uhuru opening for Talking Heads
Blue Cheer opening for The Who
I saw these guys opening for the Darkness.
BIZARRE. Like... unbelievably bizarre. I don't even know what I saw to be honest.
QOTSA for Soundgarden and Cage the Elephant for the Foos stand out as great openers in recent times.
The Black Crowes opening for Robert Plant back in the 80s was cool.
This for sure - was awesome.
I also say Band of Horses opening for PJ and Local H opening up for Veruca Salt.
Vinx.......opened for Sting 1990.....I think
As I get older I seem to cant remember squat.
