Unfortunately, due to the fact that your political system is stacked by rich, paranoid old white men against anything that might have the potential to be labelled socialism, regardless of how well tested it is by the civilised world, a sensible healthcare plan was never even a possibility. This dog of a plan is the best thing Obama could get past the right wing nutters that control your government.

    Sucks to be you guys.

The list is growing every week: The IRS scandal, the deteriorating security situation in Libya, spying on German Chancellor Angela Merkel, spying on journalists and the Obamacare mess. Those are just a few of the things we have been told at one time or another that President Obama he didn’t know about before learning about them in the media. Note to media: You have a critical job in briefing the president, so err on side of over-inclusion.

Then there are the things he had wrong or knew better but said anyway: There is a fatwa in Iran against nuclear weapons, “You will get to keep your health-care plan,” the Benghazi attack was related to an anti- Muslim video, and no predecessor had been compelled to negotiate a budget deal in the context of a potential government shutdown.
This prompts several questions: Who is running the government? Why is the president content not to know so many things? At this point one has to conclude he is intentionally ignorant. If he really wanted to be in the loop, people who didn’t inform him would be fired and the pace of “I didn’t know” excuses would slow. Instead it’s ticked up. Perhaps he refuses to hear bad news. Maybe his second-term team is hopelessly incompetent. Whatever the reason, Obama’s ignorance is no longer (if it ever had been) a valid excuse. His continual cluelessness is an indictment now of his administration’s collapse.

The list goes on. You would think the president at some point would be embarrassed to be the least-informed man in Washington, D.C.

At the very least the person or persons in charge of getting the website should be fired.

I do believe the blame does fall squarley on the POTUS, this was his legacy. He might not know every detail but he is the President, and at the end of the day he is in charge. Almost like a sports team the players didn't perfomr but who gets fired the coach.
In 20 years this program will be heralded and Obama will be seen positively for this as well as repealing DADT, not pursuing casual drug users etc etc.

Obama made promises that he couldn't keep. Would people have been as supportive of it if they knew some wouldn't be able to keep their insurance/doctors and that costs would go up? Of course the blame is not squarely on Obama, but when is he going to take responsibility for his administration? He never knows anything and is never responsible for anything.
The insurance companies will make this as painful as possible.

Why? That makes no sense. This law was a boon to insurance companies....forcing people to buy their product. That would be like the oil companies being the ones that make it difficult to get gas when the Govt mandates full gas tanks at all times and no public transportation.

It's a bad law. The liberals forced it down everyone's throat without reading. Own it.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

I defended some of these to others saying that he couldn't know the details of everything, but him saying he doesn't know anytime something goes wrong in HIS ADMINISTRATION is getting old. The NSA reports to the white house, and it has come out that the administration knew there would be problems with the Affordable Care Act rollout in the weeks leading up to October 1. So why doesn't Obama know what's going on? Is he not being properly briefed, does he not care, or is he lying?

It's perplexing. It's like if I made a post on the NFL thread where I acknowledged that Tom Brady is one of the best NFL QB's that's played the game and someone accused me of being a Pat's homer that graduated from Michigan ...

(Note: what I wrote above is an extreme hypothetical scenario ... Everyone knows that Brady is a two-bit hack of a backup college QB that couldn't hit the backside of a barn on a crossing route even if the barn jumped in front of him. That's right. Word to your mother. :geek: )

    This is a leader.

General Eisenhower prepared this message in the event D-Day was a failure:

“Our landings have failed and I have withdrawn the troops. My decision to attack at this time and place was based on the best information available. The troops, the air and the Navy did all that bravery could do. If any blame or fault attaches to the attempt it is mine alone.”

I was going to comment about this too. The majority of Americans supported him in 2 elections, so I don't know why you are blaming them for "making him fail." If he's failing, then it's his own fault. He's in charge of his administration, not the American people. I do think a lot of Republicans definitely wanted him to fail though. I caught some of Hannity the other day, and he looks so happy that Obamacare is having problems.

I was reading a news article on my phone yesterday that said a lot of doctors won't accept patients who are on Obamacare. They just don't want to deal with anymore troubled government programs. My mom works in the healthcare industry and has been going on for years about how bad the law is.

how did you all make him fail? with so much opposition to everything does. by supporting your elected officials who oppose his every move for no other reason than partisanship. by going against affordable health care because of the greed of the powerful and masking it as fear of living in a communist regime. it's just mind boggling to the rest of the world how the united states people and government are so inately fearful of change if they perceive it to be taking their right to step on someone else fair and square.

many of the American people are just now calling him on his bullshit, holy moly man just take a look at his track record, as someone on here has already said how many times can he say "I didn't know". man I've told you once and I'll tell you again the guy has no business being president and it seems the more stuff he "don't know" about and the more crap that happens on his watch there are some who just keep making excuses for the guy...btw how original was that ?

    Godfather.

how did you all make him fail? with so much opposition to everything does. by supporting your elected officials who oppose his every move for no other reason than partisanship. by going against affordable health care because of the greed of the powerful and masking it as fear of living in a communist regime. it's just mind boggling to the rest of the world how the united states people and government are so inately fearful of change if they perceive it to be taking their right to step on someone else fair and square.

a smart man once said "I'd rather starve than eat your bread". but that's not the american way.

Partisan politics will always be alive and well in this country and I agree with a lot of what you said, but most Americans supported the affordable health care act. I think many people who supported it though are now finding out that their insurance costs are going up, some by a lot, and that it won't be so affordable for them.

Also, not every elected official opposes Obama's every move for no other reason than partisanship ( I know you didn't say that). I think that is a small fringe, but very vocal minority. Most Americans do not support or like those politicians.

If the law has problems, it's not because there was opposition to it, it's because the law has problems.
