good god. of course the buck stops with him. he's taking responsibility for the actions of his presidency. does that mean he's going to be privvy to every stupid little fucking detail?

taking responsibility and knowing all the minutae are two completely different things.
Existing policies being cancelled isn't small potatoes though, nor are the website issues.

Plenty of blame to pass around for sure, as I said earlier.

that's what we the people pay him for right ? ...no more excuses man the guy is sloppy.

nothing Obama has ever done will ever be good enough for you. I'd like to hear you compliment (or even criticize) a presidential order (any president) without copying and pasting it from the internet. I've never seen one original thought come from you.

website issues generally don't fall even near the radar of any president of any company, never mind a COUNTRY. they will be advised of it, but he's not going to have a clue how to fix it.

But an undertaking of this magnitude should've gone MUCH smoother than it has, especially given the time and money invested so far (and the supposed cream-of-the-crop resources spending said time and money).

Of course Obama's not the one physically setting up this shit, but if someone's going to repeatedly tout that no one will lose their plan, either that someone is lying or has been lied to/misinformed by those setting up that shit.

How does that happen? All the planning involved...all the dry-runs...all the due diligence.

I can't be the only one who finds that inexcusable on so many fronts...can I?

Truth be told, it'd go a long (*edit - some) way for me to hear some honest words about this debacle, maybe an apology, from the man himself...not Jay Carney. I don't need his smugness, dodging responsibility or fake concern.

We all fuck up, we all mis-judge; just own up to it with sincerity (*edit - and get it working, post-haste).

That's all I ask of anyone (probably moreso from my - OUR - government).

well Amigo when he first ran for election I gave lots of "original thoughts"....to deaf ears and now all I have to do is read the news(not just fox either ;) ) to see my original thoughts have come to light as truth even obama obama supporters can see the mess we are in in several different areas.

The Affordable Care Act is looking more and more like a boondoggle which is really unfortunate because there are some good ideas at its core. But to place all the blame for this on Obama is not seeing the whole picture. It's a classic clusterfuck.
Just another government program that will have lots of problems due to the nature of being run by the govr ment but it is good and unless its repealed will turn out okay as is the case for other such programs. In two years it will be refined and be okay

    I hope you're right. callen.

At the very least the person or persons in charge of getting the website should be fired.

I do believe the blame does fall squarley on the POTUS, this was his legacy. He might not know every detail but he is the President, and at the end of the day he is in charge. Almost like a sports team the players didn't perfomr but who gets fired the coach.

if your "original thoughts" boiled down to nothing more delusions of grandeur, saying he was going to suck because he was a closet muslim from kenya without anything to back it up, then sure, I guess that qualifies.

say something original about any president. ANY. please. I dare ya.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that your political system is stacked by rich, paranoid old white men against anything that might have the potential to be labelled socialism, regardless of how well tested it is by the civilised world, a sensible healthcare plan was never even a possibility. This dog of a plan is the best thing Obama could get past the right wing nutters that control your government.

    Sucks to be you guys.

The list is growing every week: The IRS scandal, the deteriorating security situation in Libya, spying on German Chancellor Angela Merkel, spying on journalists and the Obamacare mess. Those are just a few of the things we have been told at one time or another that President Obama he didn’t know about before learning about them in the media. Note to media: You have a critical job in briefing the president, so err on side of over-inclusion.

Then there are the things he had wrong or knew better but said anyway: There is a fatwa in Iran against nuclear weapons, “You will get to keep your health-care plan,” the Benghazi attack was related to an anti- Muslim video, and no predecessor had been compelled to negotiate a budget deal in the context of a potential government shutdown.
This prompts several questions: Who is running the government? Why is the president content not to know so many things? At this point one has to conclude he is intentionally ignorant. If he really wanted to be in the loop, people who didn’t inform him would be fired and the pace of “I didn’t know” excuses would slow. Instead it’s ticked up. Perhaps he refuses to hear bad news. Maybe his second-term team is hopelessly incompetent. Whatever the reason, Obama’s ignorance is no longer (if it ever had been) a valid excuse. His continual cluelessness is an indictment now of his administration’s collapse.

The list goes on. You would think the president at some point would be embarrassed to be the least-informed man in Washington, D.C.

If there is foreign intelligence agency within a country I am pretty sure their agency is developing intelligence on other countries.

I understand that Madagascar and Papau New Guinea may be behind in the spy department, but every G20 nation has a capable secret intelligence agency.

edit: Also, I think I've made it quite clear throughout various posts that my leaders are not righteous, they are not upstanding, and they don't give two shits about any of us. Why do you keep calling me out as some blind D.C. fanboy?
