Bushleaguer, I'm open, stupid mop. That's all I can come up with.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

Honestly the only song below that I would be happy if it was never made is Sleeping by Myself.

    Vs: Glorified G
    No Code: Mankind
    Binaural: Soon Forget
    Riot Act: Bushleaguer
    Avocado: Big Wave
    Backspacer: Johnny Guitar
    Lightning Bolt: Sleeping by Myself

Ten: Garden (my least favorite from Ten)
    Vs: Glorified G
    Vitalogy: Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me
    No Code: Mankind
    Yield: Pilate
    Binaural: Thin Air
    Riot Act: You Are
    Avocado: Big Wave/Come Back/Unemployable
Backspacer: Johnny Guitar/Speed of Sound (I like the demo version)
    Lightning Bolt: Sirens
Let's say knowledge is a tree, yeah.
It's growing up just like me.

I just can't handle Stone's singing voice. When I saw them live in '93 and they played Baba, I was blown away but when Stone joined in on the singing it was a face palm moment.

You don't like Blood. More power to ya. Me I can't get enough of that POWERFUNK!!

You Are - It sounds like an broken-up 80's hairband reuniting in the late 90's and doing a song with too many late 90's clichés in order to still sound relevant. If that makes any sense....probably not.

My first exposure to "You Are" was at a concert in 2003. It was my favorite song of the evening by far, which is saying something because it was a great show. Not sure if they ALWAYS play it really well live, but they rocked it that night in Mountainview- way better than the admittedly kind of dull album version.
Gone & Amongst the Waves - Both come across as half developed and sound like they meander or were made up on the spot in order to just finish the song and get it on the album.

Heh heh- two of my faves!
My Father's Son - There's too much going on with this thing. It sounds like they wanted the song to first be driven by a bass line, then they changed their minds and they wanted it to be vocal driven, then they're both competing over one another and Stone and Mike have no idea who they should follow, they'll just do this slide guitar doodle thing and call it good. Then the bridge comes and it carries zero resemblance to what they were doing to begin with. My Father's Son is like there's 3 songs trying to be played at once.

That's totally how I felt about it at first. It's actually kind of how I felt about Sirens at first too. Both have grown on me a great deal, with Sirens being in my PJ top 10 at this point. I think this band just sometimes takes a really weird song structure development path. LBC was another one that felt disjointed to me until I fell in love with it.

Ten: Garden (great song, just the weakest, imo)
vs: Glorified G (never really got into this song)
Vitalogy: Betterman (would have been better released as a stand alone single)
No Code: Mankind (i see this as more a part of lost dogs than an album)
Yield: Pilate (the one i skip the most on this album)
Binaural: Evacuation (i have never liked this song, it would be my #1 to leave off every album)
Riot Act: Help Help (too whiny for my taste)
Avacado: Unemployable (i like this song just less than the rest of the songs on the album)
Backspacer: The Fixer (never liked it; didn't get it as a single, let alone first single)
Lightning Bolt: Let the Records Play (this one will likely grow on me, but right now it is the one i would have left off)
"...what a different life had i not found this love with you..."

Here's mine. I like some of the songs below, but if I had to choose one from each album this would be my list.

    Ten: Deep
    VS: WMA
Vitalogy: If Aye Davanita, Pry, To, Stupid Mop, and Bugs don't count for the OP's purposes then probably Not for you (tough one).
    No Code: I'm Open
    Yield: Pilate (tough one)
    Binaural: Evacuation
Riot Act: Bushleaguer or Help Help
    Avocado: Big Wave or Gone
    Backspacer: Gonna see my friend
Lightning Bolt: Sleeping by Myself (I actually like the full band version, but if one had to go this would be it)

Ten - can't do it, perfection.
Vs - Dissident (only song I could even consider losing)
Vitalogy - Can't do it, strangely perfect
No Code - Around The Bend
    Yield - All Those Yesterdays
Binaural - Sleight Of Hand (good tune, doesn't fit IMO)
    Riot Act - Bushleaguer
PJ - Gone (I like the verse, chorus sounds like a different song)
    Backspacer - Speed Of Sound
Lightning Bolt - Sleeping By Myself (doesn't fit thematically, for obvious reasons)
Vitalogy: Betterman (would have been better released as a stand alone single)

...exactly like the band wanted to do until BOB talked them into puttin it on.
Also, how are so many people cutting Glorified G???
I find this thread equally hilarious and disturbing at the same time. :?

Keep in mind I like all or most of these songs. There's a good chance this is a list of someone's favorite songs from each album.
    Ten: Oceans
    Vs: WMA
    Vitalogy: Tremor Christ
    No Code: Around The Bend
    Yield: Pilate
    Binaural: Evacuation
    Riot Act: Get Right
    Avocado: Parachutes
    Backspacer: Just Breathe
    Lightning Bolt: My Father's Son

Non-album song I'd abort given the chance: Ole

Wow Rico, someone ought to spank your behind! :D

I'm not touching this one on the basis that I would only leave off a total of maybe 5 or 6 songs and all from the last 3 albums. It would be wrong to make Backspacer any shorter than it already is though and 2
of my chosen songs are on it.
