LIGHTNING BOLT VINYL QUALITY-RELATED INQUIRES

Picked up a copy at Newbury Comics at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA. Other than the vinyl being very dusty (cleaned up quick/nice), I thought the sound was great.

***As of Monday, October 21, Newbury Comics had two more copies of the LP available.***

For those who have had playback issues, have you tried cleaning the album with record cleaner then play it again? I have had issues with LP's in the past similar to this, have cleaned them, and they play fine. Thoughts?
I have not picked this up yet.

Has anyone else not received their vinyl yet? I'm fine with not having it yet since I was able to download the album from my online purchase via 10C. It's been 4 years, what's another couple of days/weeks? I just want to make sure that I receive it at some point.

I haven't received it yet either.

October 8th. I received an Email from 10c saying my LB vinyl had shipped.

The item is being sent to Louisiana. Mail Innovations is ridiculous. My package has traveled all over the place for some reason. Package arrived in Texas on October 18th. For some reason was in Memphis TN later that day.

October 19th, back to Dallas TX this time.

October 23rd, now says back in Memphis TN.

Really? This is just absurd. 15 days and traveled back and forth and still probably won't receive it until God knows when.

Thanks for the update...But, I will be purchasing my pearl jam merchandise via amazon.com or another online site....Shipping&handling is outrageous and the customer service at the 10c is terrible..

I don't blame the 10c for the quality of the vinyl.


I pre ordered the vinyl from 10c....Still haven't received it in the mail......

depence where u live...i preorder Temple of the Dog vinyl today and paid double price for shipping that i pay at 10c for vinyl ,and i preorder it from a UK site,so inside europe shipping cost..

My 10c version looked super terrible out of the gatefold, but MOFI brush cleaned up semi-okay, no skips.
It needs a deep clean and will prob be fine, but never should have shipped that way. It looked as though someone left it out at a construction site, super dusty, paper scuffs on the vinyl. It certainly didn't look brand new.

At least yours is moving somewhere - Mine says it was transferred to shipping facility in Auburn, WA on 10/15 and hasn't moved since then.

It is frustrating to say the least...

Maybe 10C asked them to suspend shipping or something??? Or just bring back anything that hadn't left Auburn yet?? Or maybe their works are just gummed up. Too many packages in Arizona, and it's backing up... They have to get the packages in Arizona to some other random state before sending more to Arizona. :P

I brushed mine really well. Still pops like rice krispies

Mines been stuck in Auburn since the 15th as well.

Too be honest I want satisfied with the pressing of Ukulele Songs I got from the 10c when that was released. It popped and skipped brand new. Sent it back for another one and the same thing happens. Don't know who they are using for their pressings but there are definitely issues

Has their been any explanation on what is going on with the shipping?

I haven't seen any explanations on whats up with the shipping......But, it pretty sad...Pay more for shipping and handling and it takes forever to receive it..

I bought mine from the local record store last night, and everything was perfect except for Pendulum, which skips all the way through. Then fine after that. Which sucks cause I was most looking forward to hearing that one on vinyl. Maybe the company just really hates that song? It's the one that seems to be across the board the worst, haha.

My conundrum is how they're going to handle record store purchases. I only have a week to bring it back, but I don't want to exchange it for one of their other fucked copies. I hope they're already alerting stores so they know what the deal is when I bring it back this weekend and will give me a voucher or something for the second pressing. The packaging is awesome, I would be fine with just the wax when it's ready.

Alright...But, lets see how long it takes for your temple of the dog vinly to arrive...Once you receive an email confirming it is has been shipped....Plus, I am betting....Whoever you purchased the vinyl from...They have better customer service than the 10c...
