    I wonder..
now WE have to pay to ship back the vinyl to receive our new vinyl.
If memory serves, when others have received vinyl that was damaged for some reason, 10C either just sends the new vinyl without wanting the ruined one back (and in this case, I can't imagine that's not what they'd do just to save themselves the hassle, considering how many records are apparently fucked up in some way, but you never know... but what are they going to do? Play every return to make sure there is something wrong with it?? If not, what's the point of asking for them back? I doubt the few people who lie just to get an extra copy aren't worth going through the process of making everyone return the item.... I hope!), or they refund the return shipping .... Someone please correct me if I'm remembering that incorrectly.

I personally think that, with problems as widespread as this one, the easiest, fastest, and possibly even cheapest method would be to simply resend it all. Complete do-over..... unless the cost of re-shipping every single order is prohibitive.... or the manufacturer refused to replace the entire order with good vinyl (are they even CAPABLE of pressing vinyl properly?? It's like they've got the Three Stooges working at their plant)..... Anyway, still feel badly for everyone at 10C and the band. This situation is a bummer.

We have received a number of quality-related inquiries from customers purchasing the Lightning Bolt vinyl from the Ten Club and other retail outlets.

We are currently in communication with the vinyl manufacturer about these issues, and are assessing the situation thoroughly so that we can create a plan for solving this matter promptly.

    Thanks for your patience.

    What's the timeline looking like?

The alternative is probably worse? Everyone starts disputing the charge on their credit card for being sent a defective product?

I imagine it could take a while to get a 2nd pressing though.

I'm guessing the pressing plant could be held liable for all the costs.... then you might not have a choice but to let them repress it. If they're not, would you go back to the same place a 2nd time?
  • Thank you!

Mine still hasn't arrived either. But the mail innovations fiasco is a whole other matter.

Can we get our replacements at a retailer and avoid mail innovations? Thanks!

    I'm glad this was addressed.

Time to show up and be held accountable manufacturer.

    Where was the quality control?

    Completely unacceptable.

I hope the club doesn't have to spend a bunch of money getting them to make this right.

Thanks Santos for the update!

Now, I sit back and wait. Nothing else we can do until the issue is dealt with the manufacturer. I know the ten club will do their best but we have a lot of time on our hands until this is fully resolved. :corn:

Of course! All I am doing is speculating and assuming... I obviously have no clue what's going to happen. ;)

In reality all we need is the record itself mailed out. Thats what it would be i imagine. No need for 10club to redo the jacket, booklet, etc.

True. For most people at least. A few reports of weird damage on the jacket, and some ripped sleeves, but the record itself is most important!

And as I said in the other thread, thanks for the update Santos.

My Morning Jacket did this a few years ago, all they sent was the wax in a sleeve, no complete new package.
