set: Even Flow, Last Exit, Spin the Black Circle, Tremor Christ, Animal, Corduroy, Not for You, Lukin, Why Go, Jeremy, Dissident, State of Love and Trust, Go, Whipping, I Got Shit, Rearviewmirror, Better Man, Alive, Improv, Blood, Throw Your Arms Around Me, Sonic Reducer, Garden, Leash, Porch, Yellow Ledbetter
notes: Canberrans were treated to a long two-hour collection of Pearl Jam at their best. The Vitalogy songs, particularly 'Corduroy' and 'Not For You' took on a live, punk intensity that cannot be found on studio recordings. Of course, die-hard fans were present en masse to chant anthems, already knowing the words to 'Spin the Black Circle' and 'Better Man' front start to finish. But to hear the songs you've heard a thousand times on your stereo and walkman, 'Animal', 'Jeremy' and 'Alive', propelled with sweat and tears by the powerful, impressive, uncompromising and revitalised rhythm duo of Jeff Ament and Jack Irons, gave each tune a new urgency. The band never sounded apathetic throughout its marathon stretch; we're prepared to pay the price to hear that voice cranked to the max and actually hitting the notes in 'RVM' and 'Blood' which most singers these days only dream about. The band loosened up when playing their Hunters and Collectors cover - possibly because it wasn't their own song - and this time the lighters didn't get their flames blown out by the onstage hurricane. Eddie screwed up the words. Who cares. Vedder didn't. At least he had the decency to play something relatively local. 'Porch', 'Leash' (which the band apparently hadn't played live for a long while) and "Yellow Ledbetter" were not obvious finishers, but they certainly wound up the evening's proceedings exhibiting the band's strengths: great melodies fired by punchy, pugilistic musicians and an abrasive lead singer with vocal chords that can go the distance. And how. You are welcome back in Canberra anytime. You might not have liked it, but it liked you.
"hear my name, take a good look, this could be the day."
"So, you must really love Led Zeppelin. That’s the oldest shirt I’ve ever seen on someone who wasn’t a bum."
"Hey, if God didn’t want me to wear it so much, he wouldn’t have made them rock so hard."
set: Oceans, Last Exit, Spin the Black Circle, Tremor Christ, Not for You, Elderly Woman, Corduroy, Animal, Dissident, Even Flow, Deep, Jeremy, Go, Daughter/(Improv)/(W.M.A.), Whipping, I Got Shit, Rearviewmirror, Alive, Blood
enc: Lukin, I Got You, Immortality, Porch, Sonic Reducer
notes: When the crowd rushes the pit, security gets rough and were fired after this show. Ed sings "white male Australian" in 'Even Flow.' He gets the crowd to yell, "Hurry up Scully!" (Stone is having a tech problem.) During 'I Got Shit,' a fan jumps on the stage from the pit and steals Jeff's water bottle, then runs back and dives into the crowd. 'I Got You' is a Split Enz song. Dave Grohl drums for PJ on 'Sonic Reducer

I just thought I'd warn you, you know, if you, if you're s'posed to be at your friend's house spending the night, you weren't allowed to come, don't get your voice on the radio, we don't want you to get in trouble. Ah fuck it, get in trouble!" Later he says, "Fine bunch of mutants we got here We're all mutants up here, too." 'Jeremy' and 'Even Flow' are both sporting a new intros. Ed notes the full moon: "It's really too bad they couldn't open the roof in this place cuz there's a fuckin full moon out there that we're missing ... so if someone's out there listening to us in their car, stick your head out the window.. at home, go to the windows. Things happen in a full moon, good things, bad things, things happen." Ed gives his list of N.W. words/phrases. Reference is made to the poor security the previous night ("... we got the guys from last night the fuck outta here"). Ed acknowledges his wife, Beth: "She's back home, so it's not as if she's going to hear this on the radio, but it's me and Beth's 129 month anniversary today. A full version of the Split Enz 'I Got You' is dedicated to "... the girl who changed her fuckin' name to Pearl Jam." Mike gets wild and creative during an extended 'Porch' jam and Ed wraps up the song by repeating "I'm happy, I hope you're happy, too ..." a couple of times (likely a David Bowie 'Ashes to Ashes' nod). 'Against the 70s' is introduced as a Mike Watt song (not played at a PJ concert before or since), with Dave Grohl joining PJ on drums and staying for a rocked out version of 'Sonic Reducer.' Great setlist and wonderful versions of songs.

Thanks for uploading these. I never even heard of it. To any people downloading it, unless you want a migraine I would suggest skipping parts 3 and 4. The sound is more or less unbearable. Parts 1 and 2 are awesome though.
To anyone who may have it, I have been looking for the Atlanta show from '98 forever. It was my first PJ show. If anyone who has it would be so kind...

enc 1: The Kids Are Alright [Ed solo], Given To Fly, Do The Evolution, Jeremy, Once, Black, Soldier of Love, Rearviewmirror
enc 2: Soon Forget, Yellow Ledbetter
notes: Early in the show, someone in the audience hands Ed an infamous Who bootleg titled Tales From The Who. Ed looks really pleased and deliberately goes and shows it to the rest of the band. During 'Even Flow,' Ed pours wine into two fan's cups (and even onto a shirt tossed on stage). He acknowledges screwing up the lyrics: "Summer's on it's way [screws up] Dealing, fucked up the words already." During Mike's solo in 'NAIS,' Ed comes over to him, picks up his cigarette from the floor, takes a few drags, then puts it back in Mike's mouth. 'Untitled' is extended with a second verse. Ed is flexing his biceps sarcastically during many of the songs--partically in 'Rival,' when he also performs a number of crotch-grabs (notably while singing "well hung"). During 'Porch,' Ed ventures out into the crowd like he did in 98. For the first encore, Ed comes out and talks (his first time addressing the crowd this night) about how when they came onstage earlier ... he suddenly remembered the venue ... the last time they were there was with Soundgarden. He also mentions how that the name "Cincinnati" came up before "for some difficult reasons, but I'm gonna play this next one because of our new bond," leading to 'The Kids Are Alright.' At the end of 'TKAA,' Ed does a Townshend jump and a bunch of windmills. During 'Jeremy,' he sticks one arm through the other arm of his shirt making a gun shape with his hand. During one of Mike's solos, he had a piece of paper that says "thank you!" that an audience member had handed him in his mouth. He holds it there for a minute, then sucks it in and starts eating it, then gets a disgusted look on his face and spits it out. At the beginning of the second encore, Ed introduces the ukulele to the audience: "Ukulele, I'd like to introduce you to Cincinnati. Cincinnati, this is ukulele." Mike includes snippets from Van Halen's 'Ain't Talkin' Bout Love' and Ted Nugent's 'Stranglehold' in the final 'YL' solo, while Stone, Jeff and Ed are cracking up. Instead of the Polaroid (which Ed says he left back in the hotel), he captures the audience with a small video camera.

enc: Light Years, Do The Evolution, Last Exit, Elderly Woman, Black, Alive
notes: Ed performs 'Last Kiss' solo, wearing the same striped jacket he wore at the Palladium and La Paloma shows, commenting something to the effect that Keith Moon loaned him the jacket. Jeff comes out wearing a white Dick Tracey hat. After 'NAIS' Ed mentions that they played at Wembley last night but tonight was going to be something completely different. Stone exaggerates the end of 'In Hiding' much to the amusement of Ed. Ed dedicates 'Even Flow' to Tom Price, the guitarist of Monkeywrench. Before 'Thin Air,' Ed states that anyone is lucky to have fallen in love and states that the next song is written by Stone about young love. The band adds a very powerful guitar driven ending to 'Habit' and Matt does a GREAT drum solo. Ed flubs up the first line to 'Untitled' which segues into 'MFC.' Ed almost introduces 'Off He Goes' as being from the same album as 'MFC' and then corrects himself. Mike takes off his shirt before 'Daughter' much to the joy of a few female fans. 'On a Rope' is a Rocket From The Crypt song. Ed and Mike practically knock each other over during 'Not For You.' Matt adds an amazing drum solo at the end of 'Immortality.' 'Rearviewmirror' is an absolutely magnificent finish to the set. Ed comes out during the encore and says he has a scar to remember. "Mike hit me with his guitar, the fuckin' prick." Ed mentions that backstage Mike reminded him of a scar that Ed gave him in San Francisco either years ago. Ed jokes that he's on the offensive. During 'DTE' Ed pretends to attack Mike with the microphone stand. During 'Alive' towards the end, Mike runs all over the stage and Ed swings the microphone around.
OK, so I THINK these are most of the shows I've shared that still have active links. If any of the links are dead, please let me know and I'll edit them out. Sorry if I put any duplicates up.

I just discovered this thread and it's like a treasure trove!!
I have just recently caught the bootleg bug since I have been able to dowload the 2006 shows from the PJ site, and I can't seem to stop! Well, also bootlegs are a good compromise since I get to see them live next! (in 2 wks now... WOO HOO!!!)
And this thread... fantastic! you guys rock!
But I was wondering - where to start?! There are so many shows already posted (thank you for sharing!). So, could you guys introduce me to Bootlegs 101, i.e. what legendary shows are considered a must-have?
Many thanks!
P.S. I have the Milan 2000 and then London 29-05-2000 shows to contribute... and not much else because the rest of my bootlegs are the 2006 shows.
Edited to add: I noticed in another thread on the Porch mentioning some best bootlegs being Katowice 2000, Randalls Island 96... can anyone share those? I'll be interested to hear them. Thanks much!
set: Throw Your Arms Around Me, Oceans, Last Exit, Spin the Black Circle, Tremor Christ, Corduroy, Elderly Woman, Lukin, Animal, Glorified G, Daughter/W.M.A., Rats, Go, Jeremy, Rearviewmirror, I Got Shit, Not for You, Immortality, Alive, Blood, Better Man, Porch, History Never Repeats, I Got You
notes: The crowd begins smashing forward, even before PJ takes the stage. Ed takes the stage alone with his guitar and says he wants to start off real slow and for everyone to stay calm, playing 'Throw Your Arms Around Me.' The rest of PJ take the stage and, still trying to keep things calm, play 'Oceans,' but this crowd is fired up and packed in tight. Neil and Tim Finn, formerly of the Split Enz, join PJ for covers of their songs, 'History Never Repeats' (later released as one of the cuts on the '95 fan club discs) and 'I Got You,' much to the pleasure of this New Zealand audience.

set: Last Kiss [Ed solo before Monkeywrench but NOT included in the download], Sometimes, Grievance, Corduroy, Hail Hail, Animal, Dissident, Nothing As it Seems, In Hiding, Even Flow, Thin Air, Habit, Untitled, MFC, Off He Goes, Daughter/(On a Rope), Not For You, State of Love And Trust, Immortality, Rearviewmirror
enc: Light Years, Do The Evolution, Last Exit, Elderly Woman, Black, Alive
notes: Ed performs 'Last Kiss' solo, wearing the same striped jacket he wore at the Palladium and La Paloma shows, commenting something to the effect that Keith Moon loaned him the jacket.

The Bible is full of lies - Stone is the leader of us all!
I need only Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Perth, and the rest of that Brisbane show you just posted. I don't think recordings exist of Perth and Taipei though
