AFAIK the band isn't so friendly about trading video material as they are about trading audios

i am a moron when it comes to computers... i do love this thread and have downloaded a few shows... however, i cannot get them to play on my computer. please, if someone has the patience tell me what i need to do to make these files work. i am working with a dell pc and have downloaded win-rar, the files work when i double click on them, but when i go back to try to play them again, i get an error message. i am sure this can be attributed solely to my complete ignorance with technology, but any help would be greatly appreciated. so far the only show i have been able to use was a zip file that i "extracted". as for .rar files, i have downloaded a few shows, but like i said, cannot get them to work.
Added info: i am playing these files in itunes, don't know if that helps, but thought i would throw that in there.

did you just double-click the .rar files and then double-click the mp3s which than openend itunes?
in that case the files where only extracted to a temporaly directory and are gone the next time you try to play them in itunes.

you have to extract them to a static directory, so itunes knows where to find them the next time you want to play them. The simpliest way to so should be by right clicking the .rar file and then select something like "extract to folder ..."

Sorry I didn't know that about videos. So does anyone have the MTV Unplugged on audio with Oceans and Rockin In The Free World that they would be willing to make me a copy and send it to me? ok , i am a little slow when it comes to all this computer crap. i got the 2 shows downloaded that i am interested in. & was wondering how i can convert them to .wav files so i can burn them to cds . any suggestions are welcome..

All you need is a file converter. There are many on the web that are free or have a trial period. I use this one:

This one is great because it will convert M4A, MP3s, etc. to WAV for me.

Any other questions just PM me and I will see what I can do to help.

Just a suggestion: Before posting, please ensure that the shows are not on page 1 or in the thread already. I'm Gone hasn't updated the first page in a while, and until he gets a chance to, duplicate posting of shows only lengthens the thread and makes it harder for the search.
