Another great great show. So happy to have gotten to see them this tour. Here's hoping for a leg in 2014 that passes through central FL. Later all.

No disrespect intended, but the bands been pulling out set lists like these the last few years, no reason to think it implies anything more than Ed knows now more than ever how to piece incredible sets together.

I will say that for me, tonight is among the best they've ever done.

No disrespect intended here either but no they haven't, not night after night. This year is different. While I only started seeing them live in '06 due to personal circumstances I've seen FAR more "live" shows than my signature implies and I've followed pretty much every setlist relay since late 2005. Please do not take this as "I've seen more shows than you have", I'm just saying that this tour is different than previous tours.

part of it's just a numbers game tho. they've added 7-8 new every night (or near every night) songs into the mix, but still playing essentially the same # of songs a night (maybe a tiny bit more on average). you add up all the new songs, the standards, a few classic deep cuts, there isn't much room for a ton of rarities. their catalog of songs that people want to hear on an every show basis is just massive. if you've gonna have all the new songs, the likes of Cordoroy/Daughter/Small Town/Betterman along with DTE, Porch and Alive, there just isn't much room to throw down with a ton of deep cuts and rarities in ~30 songs.

Well I think even since 2005 it depends on the tour. Any tour that's been non album specific, 2005 and PJ20 for instance, have consistently had gems sprinkled in each night. The last four nights have been ridiculous, but Pittsburgh through to Worcester were on par with the sets from those other tours. New York has always had above average set lists, and Philly has a special place for the band since they did the four nights at the spectrum. My guess is the sets are going to taper back off a bit now through the rest of the first leg, with each show getting a couple gems, but nothing like the NY and Philly shows.

Worcester 1 was a great set. I think.it blew Pittsburgh and Buffalo
Out of the water. FATAL. Enough said. The Worcester shows were JUST as good as Brooklyn and Philly.
