As much as I LOVE Porch (one of my top 5) I think this one is getting way too much love on this tour. They're going to wear it out. These setlists are almost making me think that maybe, just maybe this is one of their last full tours. :?

"Unthought Known" is a great song. It don't deserve the hate.

    I'll second that.

I thought about this too. They are holding nothing back.

Exactly. I think they'll do a full tour -- US, Australia, Canada, Europe, maybe Asia and then just be done for a while. They are getting to that age as a group that they can just stop touring for a few years then play a few shows here and there. I think it may be that point for them. All I can say is that if they are within 10 hours drive of me next year I'm there. IMO, these setlists are just too funky to be a regular album tour.

I can see that point of view. With all of the heavy promotion and longer tour they may be setting up a long hiatus. But they are doing Australia and will probably be in Europe in 2014 so all is probably good.

Seems to me they're repeating a ton of core songs. Don't have data to back that up but it sure seems that way.

Also ignoring portions of the catalog.

Not sure how that signals "farewell tour". I don't think it means that.

what is up with Unthought Known being played almost every show? no offense but the band has so many more songs that are better

I agree. Any momentum I have personally at a show is halted when I start hearing those chords. A lot of people love it and that is cool. Just not for me.
that will be next thread to see what songs should get played as a regular song in it's place, I don't mind the song once and a while, but playing it almost every show is ridiculous, it is not worthy

Maybe they realize how crazy the draft process was to get tickets and a lotta people locked into 1 show with 10 club tix so that they play the concert faves almost every night so that everybody gets to hear 'em. :?: :?:

Agreed. They've also repeated a lot of rarer/less played songs, like man of the hour, long road, leash, release (usually once/twice a tour), to name a few and they soundchecked otherside which means they may be gearing up to play that again.

Honestly, with this economy, their environmental concerns, and their core fanbase aging and having job/family responsibilities... it seems considerate :)
