absolutely terrible... i'd be shocked if they ever played there again after that....

i was in the 12th row of the floor.... the 10C section was rockin out... the rest of the crowd had that "when's this going to end, i have work tomorrow" look on their faces...

I was up top, and it was as though the people around me were put off by having to be there.

what completely kills me is that they got a great setlist too...

nothing compared to hamilton, but still pretty fucking good with breath and come back....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Perfect example: a couple major shocks, a few big surprises, lots of hits, killer crowd (at least where I was sitting--I heard it wasn't as good in the non-10C seats), and a great all-around performance.

having seen a number of shows in Ottawa (including PJ 2011) i find a "killer crowd" hard to believe... but there's truth in everything else.... ;)

Oh man. The Ottawa crowd in 2011 was the worst.

My friend went to her first PJ concert in Ottawa 2011. She was so stoked. I've raved about the PJ experience and she was left disappointed. She was in the noise bleeds and said the crowd was the worst.

   ...

I just don't get why people act like that ? Cheer up, live a little your at a Pearl Jam concert ?

It sucks when you go to a show and almost feel uncomfortable for having a good time and actually engaging in the music...

my regular touring partner's younger sister was there for her first show...

she was rotted by the crowd...

he went up and got her from her friends for the first encore, then went back up to them after wards...

her comment: "it was like 2 completely different worlds.." lol...

It was. It's the one time I've ever seen Pearl Jam with a bored-looking audience. I thought it was just our section, but then my friend pointed out that NO ONE in the upper bowl was standing. Polite applause; that was all.

    Your friend got screwed.

I went to the Ottawa show too, the crowd was awful, I usually make a habit of watching the crowd, seeing how different areas are reacting etc, I am a people watcher

definitely the worst crowd atmosphere of any PJ show I have been to
