Sitting with a few friends, not big Pj fans, drinking beer, getting ready to watch a little hockey.
Mentioned PJ will be involved in the HNIC intro.
    Waiting.....SIRENS.

THAT should of been the song for the montage.
    Something fast & heavy.

    Agreed.

I used to work for a sports station up here and I used to do montages to music, similar to the HNIC intros. I can tell you that it's pretty good odds they didn't get to choose what song to use. If they did though, there's about 4 or 5 songs on that album that would have worked much, much better. It was tough to watch. It really went against what these opening montages are supposed to do.

That's what I actually thought it was going to be before it started

I thought they did a great job with it.

"Sirens" can also be applicable to hockey I guess.
  • Tim Thompson's YouTube Channel has a bunch of others too. Some good stuff from the playoffs and the Finals last year. No Pearl Jam but Neil Young, Soundgarden...

    Hockey: GREAT.
    Sirens: GREAT.

Sirens + hockey: confusing, but ok.

Based on past HNIC song mash-ups and tempo of those songs I'm guessing "Lightning Bolt" would work pretty well.
Yep - it's going to be LB. No doubt about it.
    Swing and a miss!
    Wasn't expecting Sirens here either.

Well, you know, like a "goal siren"...

unless maybe you are a Sabres fan, like me and forgot what one is.

Yeah, I understand. And it's great to see PJ get national exposure. But just think of what they could have done with MYM-to guys going at it- or Getaway-"Now make your getaway" and have Datsyuk taking the puck from Tyler Myers.
The possibilities with those two songs is limitless.
And don't worry, once you trade Miller you will hear a lot of sirens and see a lot of red lights. ;)
