not sure at the show but i did hear from my buddy that there was a near fatal car accident on the turnpike ( or maybe the Parkway ) northbound on the way home afterwards.

    friggin weather blew bigtime .

the show(s) were fantastic tho .

Yeah, if we are talking about the same accident, it looked pretty bad. Dude flipped his car over. I saw one guy just standing there that looked like he had been in the car, but looked okay. Then there were a whole bunch of firefighters huddled around something, but I don't know if it was a person....

I saw the car that was wrecked right near the Arena. That was one of the worst post accident scenes I have ever seen. Upside down, all glass blown out. By the time I passed, there was noone in the car, just 20 or so fireman milling around the car. I'd be pretty surprised if the driver survived

Also, I would not be surprised at all if someone tumbled down those steps. saturday wasn't as bad as Thursday though, when it was so muggy that it seemed as if it rained inside the arena making the steps superslick. I almost wiped 3 seperate times on one trip down to the 4th row

On RT 17 North? When I drove by I saw the cops talking to the driver who was still hanging upside down in his seat....looked like he was going to be fine. That's why the Ford Taurus got a 5 Star crash rating......

Hahahaha...I was thinking the same thing!!! I was in section 109 row 6 and I can assure you that there is no clear diving path to the stage area let alone the back stage area...hahaha! Great view of the stage though!
I was 109 row 6 too! Seats 10 and 11. There's definitely no way you could jump from there to the back stage area but they were outstanding seats.

considering there is no north at that juncture for the parkway, i vote turnpike.

and the weather after the show was "not rain".

I heard a rumor that Boom left an upper decker in the concourse men's room during the first encoure. It hasn't been verified, though.

He dry docked one at Camden I, in honor of the USS Philadelphia. It stunk up the whole side of the venue. I heard he went top shelf in Theo Epstein's medicine cabinet after Boston II as well.

  • Me & my buddy were driving home north on Rt.17 & a cop flew passed us and then right after the turn off for Teterboro (next to the gas station) there was a tan car flipped over (maybe a newer Taurus) with all the windows blown out, tons of cop cars, fireman, etc. I have to agree with everyone sadly, it looked like a really bad accident :( I hope everyone was OK
Oh, if I knew where it was, I would take you there, but there's much more than this.
Ooooh. Whoooa, much more than this. Woooh see the world. Much more than... Oooh, much more than.. Why?

  • My wife and I were in section 112 and a man definitely fell down the stairs and landed directly on his face. The situation seemed verry serious for a while. Security was flustered and Police came down. Then Pj security came and the police and EMT's took the poor guy out on a stretcher, gave him oxygen and put him in a neck brace. After they took him out there were some guys asking people in the aisle seats if they saw anything, I guess.
But someone defininitly got hurt pretty bad in section 112.

No way!!!! We had to have been right near each other...technically our seats were row 7, seats 3 and 4, but since we saw that the row in front of us had some empty seats in them we hopped down to those...we were probably in seats 5 and 6 at that point! I was the girl with the white tank top on and I was with a really tall guy in an Orioles hat! Which one were you? Yes, those seats were incredible and no, there was no way to get backstage from there...hahaha!

I really appreciate everyone's concern. It's funny but the person you are talking about is me. I was in section 113. There was some people smoking some stuff that made me dizzy and before I knew it, everything went black and I fell down the stairs. I don't have much recollection of it though. All I can say is that the EMT's and everyone else involved with the Arena did a superb job at saving my life. It turns out that I was really lucky. I only suffered a broken nose, concussion, and a few stiches. My neck and back are still a little sore and bruised up but everything else is fine. Sucks I missed the rest of the show though.

Geez, glad your are okay! That is definately the upside. Missing the rest of the show is too bad, but the boot sounds great.

Damn man, did it really look that bad? it was probably the scariest night of my life but I don't really remember that part much. It's all a blur. I've been to probably around 50ish concerts total and nothing has ever happened to me before. I mean sure, there were times I got a black eye here and there or something minor from when I was younger and liked to mess around in the pit but nothing this serious. This is definitely a first.

what happened exactly, you just blacked out? Did you see it coming? I guess people faint. Just sucks when it happens in an arena staircase.
