I heard that someone died at the show Saturday Night. I do not know if its true, has anyone else heard this or know the truth. Also did anyone see the guy do a swan dive from the second tier Mike's side near the tunnel that leads backstage? He got fucked up from the landing then the security guards got to him, bad move friend.

My brother was sitting up front on Mike's side not in front but on the side. He saw security, state troopers and EMT's bring a stretcher in the show. The rumors going around his section was that someone died. I'm just trying to get my facts straight. He actually saw the kid do a swan dive then get pummled by security. He said that the kid wasn't getting up after the dive so no real need to get beat by security, but I guess if you wanna try that you deserve a little beating.

at some point in the show ( I think during LBC ) i was running to the bathroom and saw a kid on a stretcher with a neck brace on and one of those breathing bags on his mouth. The guys that were pushing him were definately in a hurry. he didnt look good at all

Thats why I posted this thread, to find out the facts. THANKS...But the kid who did the swan dive did get a whoopin' from security be it Pearl Jam security or the arenas security.

    What swan dive, when?
I was in section 110 and saw nothing like that happen.
I guess I could have missed it, but very unlikely.

How can you dive from section 109 to the back stage area?
Section 109 is on the side of the arena.

I was in 114 row 13 saturday night... something serious happened in front of the railing of sec 113. During I Garden I heard a "thud" I actually looked up to see if someone fell from the 200 sections down to 113, that's how loud it was... everyone was waving security over... through Garden and Inside Job there was no movement from the injured person and they were taken out by strechter (took about 15 minutes to get them out) I couldn't see the injured person but the looks on everyones faces next to it made it seem real bad. The person must have fell down the stairs and hit the front railing but I'm not sure.

not only was there a death, but i believe there was also a marriage and a birth. A Pearl Jam show is life condensed.
Jam out with your clam out.
  • i was first row on the upper deck myself, i'm 6'4 and the separation keeping me from the open space in front of me only came up to a few inches above my knee. Somebody who is wasted, stoned or rolling should watch their dance moves up there.

However, this made for an amazing view of the arena, espcecially if you're wasted, stoned or rolling.

I fell pretty hard during the show. Can't remember what song it was, but it was about 3/4 through the show and I was really pumped. I was in the 6th row on Stone's side, just off the floor next to the stage. I stood on the railing in front of me and then accidently lost my balance, falling headfirst into the guy in front of me and landing on my back. Funniest thing though is that the guy goes to help me up and we realize that we know each other from work.....what a small world, we were both cracking up. When Eddie tripped a couple songs later, the guy behind me grabs me on the shoulder and says, "hey man, Eddie's doing his best impression of you!" Funny stuff.......good section, people were rockin' out.

I was in section 9 on the floor and watched them take this person out on a stretcher. That is all I saw. The person was at the base of the steps at the rail when they were attending to him/her(?). I won't speculate on anything but it looked very serious. That is all I saw.

Hahahaha...I was thinking the same thing!!! I was in section 109 row 6 and I can assure you that there is no clear diving path to the stage area let alone the back stage area...hahaha! Great view of the stage though!

LUCKY me... I scored SECOND ROW CENTER seats, right in front of Mike...

I COULD have died...and gone to heaven...it was that good!!!!!
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!
  • Actually, during the first set break... I went to the rest room. As I was heading back to my seat on the floor, Security and EMT's came into the lobby area and had a Guy in a neckbrace on a stretcher. The kid was all bloodied up and looked unconscious.......

    Hope he ended up ok.....

I heard they found Jimmy Hoffa. He was in line waiting for a poster this entire time...

  • I saw the car that was wrecked right near the Arena. That was one of the worst post accident scenes I have ever seen. Upside down, all glass blown out. By the time I passed, there was noone in the car, just 20 or so fireman milling around the car. I'd be pretty surprised if the driver survived

Also, I would not be surprised at all if someone tumbled down those steps. saturday wasn't as bad as Thursday though, when it was so muggy that it seemed as if it rained inside the arena making the steps superslick. I almost wiped 3 seperate times on one trip down to the 4th row
