    Guy who jumped up on stage was named John. He was from California. He is a glass blower. We had a spare ticket, we offered it to him for $20. He didnt have cash. He offered us a camping grill. (Yeah I'll cook up some burgers while hanging in the pit??!!!) He then offered and traded with a baseball cap with an cool pin on it and a small piece of art once he returns to his glass studio in a couple of weeks. We intend to send him back his hat and a little care package from the shows. He really didnt mean any harm. No one was tackled. The security guards were very polite to him. He said it was 100% totally worth the risk. I was a little surprised that he did that, and Ed seemed surprised too. I wouldn't had done it that way. But thats just me.

    I owe you some beers. Are you going to Hartford?

    Peace.

    For anybody following the story about LIv, the 13 year old girl on the rail, you can witness Ed giving her his harmonica on this youtube video. At about 3:20...

    You know what's awesome? A tour in which 29 songs was the least amount played at a show.

    You are absolutely right but, Still cant help but feel like we missed out on a handfull of songs....As I said earlier in the post it was an amazing performance and I traveled over 1,500 miles to go to both shows, but having followed the setlists for all the shows so far and seen the rare songs like fatal and otherside that they have heard and still got 32-35 songs. Not a complaint by any means, just meaningless "stats" ive noticed.

  • I now know why Father's Son sounded weird. The basses were out of tune.... Jeff is like a quarter tone sharper than Mike and Stone... :shock:

  • Jimmy V had a great idea on the Porch, but copying my comment on that thread here for "posterity."

    Awesome show. All I could think of is how relentless the start was. I think folks look at length and think that's all that makes a good show. Down, Otherside, Smile, only Cropduster, only Gone on this tour. Some great songs that only got 1 or 2 plays were done here, including - My Father's Son which I enjoyed (and I know it was played a 3rd time). Sure it needed some work at that point, but so what?

    Of course I was 2 off the rail in front of Mike, so maybe that helps my perspective. (funny thing is, of all my shows, I was fine with the (relatively - and aren't we spoiled now?) shorter show here as I had a 3 hour drive home after. All my others I was close by one way or the other. So, you guys can blame me even though I made no request).
    Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    I've been listening to my Worcester shows.

    Song # 2: LowLight: He hold's "Dream I SEE" for nearly 14 seconds. Gives me chills.

    2 years ago today...i saw pearl jam for the first time.

    bought my ticket that morning from a last minute drop on ticketmaster. drove up 4 hours each way by myself from new jersey in my crappy little 1993 saturn. sat 7 rows up stage side from mike mcfuckingcready. had chills hearing pendulum open up, followed by low light, followed by given to fly, which is my favorite song...and that's when it hit me, i was seeing this larger than life band LIVE in front of me from a fantastic point of view. i had the time of my life rocking out the entire night. to hear alive, then baba, then yellow ledbetter to close out the night...was such a high, i can't even describe it. to top it all off, finding an ed guitar pick on the floor by my seat...best night ever.

    TAKE ME BAAAAACK!!! :cry::smile:
