The only thing that is suffocating me right now are my own negative thoughts... How do I outgrow them?

In all darkness en decay I'm looking for the light...

She’s knocking on my door, Again… Like a true companion. Faithfull she is… Always coming back, On my weakest moments.
Trying to keep her out, the shades come down… No one knows… She here… But me.
Trying to fight her off... Taking refuge in my imagination…
Fading away… Fading…fading away… Into the background, If no one notices me, maybe I’ll be saved… Fading into the distance… Trying to escape…Trying to flee…
She hunts me down. She gets a hold of me… Knocks me down… Down… down… Why can’t I fight her off? Why am I so weak?
The weaker I get The stronger I pretend to be… Prisoner of my own mind…
Why am I so afraid to cry out for help? Afraid no one cares enough to hear my cry… The shades are down in my head… She has got me to herself… Bound in a cocoon of pretending, silence and loneliness…
I’m sinking… Sinking… Down and alone… How can I pull up the shades? Show the world… What I allow her to do to me….

So this f*cking disease has broken me again
In a thousand pieces
The cure was in sight
But once again
My hopes where up to high
Now they lay before me
Broken into a million splinters
I wish, I knew
Life not living on the edge
On that borderline between
Life and death
So tired of surviving
I just wanna live
is that too much to ask?
