I like Backspacer too, but it's not high up my PJ list - which says more about the quality of the band than any lack of quality on Backspacer.

despite where i have this song listed, i must say i am impressed with this album as a whole. a shame i didn't get to see any shows on the tour that just passed.

It's my opinion too. I could see two PJ shows this year, but pre-Lightning Bolt :problem: .

How were you guys possibly ranking LB back on 10/16? It had only been officially released for 1 day and streaming for 8 days on i-tunes?

I find that with most new albums (not just PJ) it definitely takes not only multiple listens but time to wrap your brain around it.

I would also be interested in finding out from those who rank LB on the low end or who don't care for it at all if they saw any shows from this tour? I think once you hear the songs played live you may change your mind. I think LB, MYM and Sirens are awesome live......

When I first got it, I ranked it here..

Now that I have spun it a bunch and seen lots of it live, I would have to say it is up here now

    :D

I know I'm one of few, but I think Ten is AWFUL. I love every song on it when performed live (let's face it, songs like "Porch", "Release", or "Alive" are always highlights) but I never listen to the studio versions. Maybe it's the production or Ed's voice at the time, but Ten is by far my least favorite.
