What happened to Obama?

Of all the quotes and policy positions of our President over the past 8 years, you would think that his stance regarding Syria, would be to host a global summit in Europe and find a diplomatic solution. Eddie Vedder once said that you could probably get 100 of the most powerful people of the world and put them in one room and noone leaves until its all worked out. If Obama bombs Syria unilaterally and without UN resolutions, he would be worse than any of our previous leaders! This is not going to happen, and if it does, Obama will not survive this one! I dont see how or why he would sacrifice the next two elections over this. Obama is playing with fire and risking his entire base!
What if the rebels used the chemical weapons?? WOW

I personally do believe the rebels used the gas. Some (or all?) are affiliated with al Queda so I wouldn't doubt they did it to bring the US to help them (and at the same time we screw ourselves by starting a bigger conflict, which would distract us from al Queda growing elsewhere).
If Obama does something, I do not think he would be the worse than Bush, in my opinion. Bush sent our soldiers to fight a stupid war that took too many years to "accomplish" and we were focusing on the wrong place. I think this potential Syria war would be a stupid war too, but I am at least glad Obama doesn't want to aid the rebels by sending ground troops. But if Obama does anything to Syria then his presidency is officially doomed. He will be officially hated by all and he will be hated just as much as Congress. I personally won't hate him cuz I respect all the Presidents and I am not paranoid and think he is just out to screw everyone, but I will be ultimately disappointed in him.
Also, he would never get a UN resolution due to Russia. The only way to due it is "illegally" sadly.~Carter~

if obama proceeds and does not follow the proper channels he should be impeached.
this is what the conservatives have had a boner for since 2009.
and john kerry is pathetic. he made a name for himself protesting war. look at him making the case for war now.
you can't be anti war and support "some" war when it is convenient for you.."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

But because Russia and Congress won't agree to it, then the only way to do it is illegally, which is sad.
Unless you love watching videos of innocent people living in dangerous situations, being killed, children dying by chemical weapons (regardless of who did it), then by all means just keep talking about how you think this will make Obama bad and act like you love not being the good one. If you love death and innocent people dying, keep on with your rant.
I rather just give the rebels some old weapons so they can oust the gov't, then see where it goes from there. I don't want to have the US to do everything, but that says more about other countries than it does the US.
I also just want to point out I am in no way defending Obama. I just want those people to not live in such conditions. I am kind of glad Bush did what he did in Iraq, despite him leading many Americans to there deaths. And I will be kind of glad if Obama does the same thing, regardless of how it gets done. (unless it starts WWIII somehow, because then I will be pissed).~Carter~

we can't interfere in another country's civil war. if we help the rebels, russia and china will help assad, and then england and france and iran and iraq and nuclear pakistan get sucked into it and then we have not only a regional conflict, but a potential "world war".
as shitty as it sounds, for there to be peace and stability in the region and among the world powers, we have to let this war play out. if the rebels get crushed they get crushed. if the rebels win, then we help them establish their new country.
sometimes the only way for us to win is not to fight."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

I agree with this as well. It would be very hard for me to deal with if we don't do something, but I get that it's their civil war, not ours.
For me its just a touchy subject.
I just don't want a world war.~Carter~

When you are you going to realize associating with a party with a set philosophy is no way to truly be free in your ideas? Have your own ideas, express them. Be free; be American.~Carter~

Frankly , since we are so energy independent now, I say fuck mideast oil, we should disengage from the world market for energy. I'm sick of this shit at the pump. Its like playing the lottery. I realize its only cents per tank, but fuck man.
Some of Nostradamus' quatrains come to mind about now._____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________
