If you think about it, the artists definitely could charge more for their PJ posters. There are fans out there that will pay more for them as evidenced by what people are paying on the 2ndary market. That said, I give the artist's credit for keeping their prices reasonable so a lot more fans can afford them. Does that increase the chance they will be flipped?...absolutely. But does it also give the average guy a chance to pay an affordable price for the poster?....absolutely. It's a double edged sword.
- Uncle Snuffy
I agree with all of that and I've even said the same thing before.
What I wonder sometimes is why they don't make more of these high demand posters. I understand supply & demand, overhead, and keeping the value of the poster up for the artists. I know that no matter how many are made there will still be some that miss out, but just not as many will miss out. I know each artist are not going to make 10K copies and have a boatload on a shelf somewhere. I also understand the argument that if the market is flooded, the artist might not be able to charge as much.
I was just thinking that, in this case, each artist could have had 200, or 500 for that matter and still sold out, still sold for $95, and more fans could have got 1 on the original sale.
I don't know. Insert your own number. What do think of the run size? Do you think they show sell non S/N also?
I agree 100% on this, expand the run, make it like 400 poster, more people will be happy that way.
This is just one show that EVERYONE wants. Have you seen how many other shows are on his site? Are on PJ's site? Emek's site? Not everything sells out quick. But, everyone is in luck! There are 3 for sale on the Bay...
Unbelievable.
And not selling on the bay either. I don't see these selling for a high price like the Ames variant
I agree. I said the same thing in an earlier post. But I guess only time will tell. The first few Ames Wrigley Variants sold for around $300-$350 and then skyrocketed. Some people might be kicking themselves down the road for not picking one up one of these around that price point. Or there may be a bunch of people willing to sell them off at face falue or less down the road if they're not coveted. Again, only time will tell.

It is a lot rarer than the other 4 posters. If people like that and exclusiveness then this is their poster.
I did get to take a cool picture of the 3 in front of the mural though. Maybe I'll frame that.
In all fairness to Munk One, in all the years I've been buying Munk's prints from his site I've never had a problem...not even for the billboard print. Maybe I was lucky...but I think this print was the real test for how well Store Envy can handle the traffic. Obviously they failed big time.
And remember his site doesn't have the problem, it's Store Envy's problem. They should be contacted about the paypal issues today.
In fact...while we're all complaining....Ames Bros has the absolute WORST checkout system I've ever used. The slightest bit of traffic puts that site in a tailspin.

I managed to get through Munk's process on my first try. To get the Ames Wrigley print, it took me at least 45 minutes of Paypal crashing.

I was glad to get this poster from the Dabs site. Seems pretty small though 12" x 26"?
Anyway, after the Cracker Jack I think it's the best of the Wrigley posters.

Yeah, I can see that. Have you noticed the raindrops on it? I didn't think they were represented in the image on the site but you can see them if you look closely.
And the "Pearl Jam" is even cooler now because it looks like it's being filled up with water. I'm liking this print more and more.

The demand sets the market. Yeah it's lousy, but it's also inevitable.
To call them scum of the earth seems extreme to me, there are much worse people in the world.
Just my opinion.
