Does anyone own a farm? Space for 20,000 folks?
With $40 bucks a pop each, we can see PJ.
It would be a Ticketmaster / Live Nation FREE show!!
Who wants to run this event & get this ball rolling?
I was thinking along the same lines, but on a smaller scale. If wesay $800k then we could sell 400 pairs at $100 a ticket. That way even the worst seat is still great and $100 a ticket is not that much more than through TM.
Well put. Security would be far less a concern as well. Which leads to the broader question...is this legitimate? Anybody know how long the band has been a "client" of this agency?
Addendum: Upon further investigation, I've calmed down a bit.2003--Cleveland. 2010--Columbus. 2013--Wrigley, Oakland. 2014--Cincinnati0 -
No reason to not be calm. They are certainly entitled to charge whatever they would like for an appearance and/or performance. Now I just have to find the winning lottery ticket.0

Absolutely right. I don't begrudge anybody's right to make a living. But honestly, when confronted with the notion they would draw less to play your wedding than Humperdinck, I threw my laptop through a glass patio door. I'm looking at $2400 damage here. I am more docile now after a trip to the urgent care to repair a laceration to my right hand incurred during the clean up process (nice job, Dr. Flayer and staff). So I may not be able to attend your Celebrity Talent Super Wedding featuring Pearl Jam. If I could convince you to bring it down to the 2 Live Crew level, I may be back in.
Keep us posted.
Also, lastexit I agree.2003--Cleveland. 2010--Columbus. 2013--Wrigley, Oakland. 2014--Cincinnati0 -
my first thought was "wedding setlist shirt"
but they didn't start printing 'em 'til after all the guests left

My two favorite bands! I better start saving - maybe they both could play at our 50th wedding anniversary!

Oh and wtf? Scott Stapp is more than Rollins Band... :fp:2013 Wrigley, Pittsburgh, Buffalo
2014 Cincy, Detroit, Moline, & Milwaukee
2015 Central Park
2016 Lexington, Ottawa, Toronto 1 & 2, Boston 1 & 2, Chicago 1 & 2
2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
2018 Seattle 1 & 2, Missoula, Chicago 10 -
My wedding; My wife and myself at the court house. Then dinner and a walk on the beach. Total cost, 79.00 (for dinner).............Now, we are healthy and happy with 2 kids. Don't waste your money on bullshit. If you love each other, everything else is irrelevant.0

Why not book Sonic Youth for 30000-50000 or The Smashing Pumpkins for 1500000 max?Life is like a bucket of wood shavings; except when the when the shavings are in a pail, then it's like a pail of wood shavings0

The best part of that website is that you can get 2 Live Crew for a cool $7500...
That in itself would be a pretty memorable wedding.

Love it! Think of all the cool merch there could be. I mean Munk One doing a wedding themed poster that I could hand out as wedding favors. We could have a PJ garter and the possibilities are endless.

I can just imagine it now, the last song of the night before starting the honeymoon:

sorry, but I think PJ charges a lot more than that for private gigs.
That oracle gig had to be at least $2m.0 -

So, now you're telling me that I have to win the lottery.....twice? Oh man! But, this could be different because I would not be making any money off the band. I am sure they charge more for an event in which there could potentially be a profit from their appearance/performance. Therefore, I am holding out hope on the $500,000-$749,000 price range.0 -
This can't be completely legit, it says you can book Pink Floyd for 1,000,000 - 1,500,000! They dont even exist anymore! No way Roger Waters and David Gilmour play a full show together in a million years!0

Yeah, I'm hearing things that this website is not really legit.

Still though, gotta get this dude PJ to play @ their wedding.0 -
There was a similar site I saw as well. Who knows. The date is Feb. 8 so, it looks like they are free
