Our brain puts things in groups, so that wont change. What's important is what we do after our brain does that.

The left is all lies the media you watch on TV is all lies. The right news some times tells part of the truth but not all the left have taken over the schools, the brain washing is unreal and to one the conservative way for the most part is the best way. God family and guns. The left have divied this country enough. no jobs and a very bad economy is all being done on purpose you have to do your own homework and not watch the media. The media is all lies and helps control you and put fear into you. Wake up America lets take a stand and take our country back, it maybe to late but will still have to try. Look at history everything there doing its never work in any country and they just keep slowly striping away our rights. I dont have kids but if you do dont you want them to have the freedom that we have had the last 50 years and the healtcare thing is the biggest joke do your home work there will be death pannels telling who can get this or that done and who cant. Just like the IRS scandel and they will be running the healtcare, read the bill. Benguzi 4 americans dead , fast in furious , Agenda 21 , we fund alquida how ever you spell it, come on man. Cant buy what i want because it free.

    I can't vote because it's free.
    I can't be what I want because ..

The line was too long. I went 6 times.

It was wrapped around the block. I'm not going to waste 6 hours voting to influence an electoral college. They will decide for me. Then later if I'm not lazy, I can wait and vote who I think should be in that college.
I'm reminding myself to sign up for the mail in vote.
    It feels like a lotto.

That's a popular thing to say but yes there is a huge difference. Just look at all the bills the GOP sponsors to take rights away from women.

    That's one difference

Boy, I really hope English isn't your first language. I'm guessing when "the left" took over the schools, that's when you dropped out right?

Liberals, conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, Tea Partiers, anarchists- we sure get into it here sometimes. As much as I generally avoid using labels to describe myself I'm sure I fit into a few of these categories and I try to keep in mind is that there are people here with whom I've had strong disagreements but never-the-less have developed friendships with and for whom I have a lot of respect. It doesn't mean you have to compromise your beliefs and sparring fairly is not always a bad thing.

Sometimes the gaps are just too big to jump or the chemistry is just all wrong but often, when the intent is to be open minded or accept some differences and if you at least have similar moral or ethical stances with someone the gap can be bridged and you can be friends- good friends even.

Ahh, brian you have said it so well. Depends on the topic, depends on the situation, but I can be a little of all the above!

And maybe a little hippy as well :)

Perhaps some are easily distracted by the titles then they can keep ignoring the problem?

I think I figured out what is up with liberals while discussing America, slavery, and genocide.

It seems that liberals project ideas, attitudes, thoughts, feelings, and even actions onto others. I think this is the reason why liberal/left wing people are absolutely unable to debate people who are not liberal. They seem to think of people only as an equal part of the group they are assigning to that person. They are unable to imagine that all people are individuals so they can't accept an argument when a person deviates from the box they believe they are in.

And on the other hand liberals project greatness, kindness, and intelligence on those who are also liberals.

I think it is a natural and normal thing to do because it feels good. But it is also the easiest because it requires no depth of knowledge. It's the nice thing to do and therefore starts with support and ends with the phrases, talking points, cartoons, and demagoguery that inform all their opinions.

I was born a Democrat, voted straight Dem, and campaigned for Democrats. But 21st century Democrats are way way gone.

    IMO

Liberals still think the country belongs to the people.. equally .. all of the people and that life and health are valuable

What a horrible notion, the bastards!!!

it's about as stupid a statement as one could make. there are just as many idiotic/intelligent democrats as idiotic/intelligent republicans as idiotic/intelligent tea partiers. everyone has an agenda, and everyone wants to push it on everybody else. no politic party is different from the other except in terms of ideals.

I like when people try to understand where someone else is coming from. I don't like when they try to figure out what is wrong with someone who disagrees with them. Debating Liberals, democrats, conservatives, republicans is always possible, debating extremists within those groups or extremists in general is difficult.

In fact, most people want the same things for all of the country; opportunity for a good life. Some are more Utopian (my personal beliefs seem to be impossible for a country this size or any really, unfortunately) and some are more authoritarian (for lack of a better term), republicans and democrats both are guilty of wanting to tell others how they should live.
The best way to live will never be found, no one has all the answers, and there is nothing wrong with people for thinking differently.

And republicans and conservatives are just as guilty of looking at people as groups and then attributing motivations to them. Example: President Obama is not an extreme socialist, although he has been grouped in with them and presented as one because of a few associations he has had in his life.

I beg to differ. I believe liberals think in a bubble not squares. Trying to break down the "square" bricks in the wall of ignorance. See past today... to see the greater picture, and lead through a string of events to help the greater picture come to fruition which inevitably will help evolve mankind.

By the Way... Democrats are not all liberal nor are all liberals democrats.
