I read The Atlantic everyday but they do lean heavily to the left. I have yet to find an unbiased news source. Sometimes you have to hear both sides of the story and decide for yourself.
I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

I am hanging in the balance of a perfect finished plan

I'm looking for news. Facts....not opinion. I can form my own opinions.

That's why I listed the Newsbreaker twitter account. I just want the details and no spin.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

factual is very subjective ... most news agencies will report "facts" ... it's just a matter of spin and extra stuff that's added that is usually the problem ...

the problem isn't necessarily the news agencies ... it's the inability for some of the public to actually dissect the information .. .

    This is a good question
On a normal day I read the Washington Post, NY Times, and WSJ
But a lot of my news and info comes from NPR and PBS newshour

When I want more detailed background information I go to friends and family who have personal and professional experience and knowledge in the subject at hand. It could be govt issues, international relations, justice, defense, medicine, sports, and even entertainment.

Getting information from someone directly involved is better than a 2nd or even 3rd hand press account.

  • There is no best news source. You have to be your own.

Another good idea is to get out and look around. Climate change? Feel it. Smell it. Same with species decline and social unrest and economics. I'm serious. Look around, use all your senses, talk to people, go outside and get outside yourself. That's where it's going on.

    Good stuff, right here.

And NPR does have a bias. I found that out when doing research about the H1N1 scare years ago. They were blatenly biased toward everyone getting the vaccine.
