Read somewhere a while back ago that Pearl Jam will play full-concert show, even then there were still Blur attached after Pearl Jam set.

yeah that was one of BDO's selling points.. normally headliners get 1.5 hours (or 1 hour 15 minutes?) but they'd given pearl jam 2. now maybe pearl jam will have.. 3...and a half.. hours.. for the first set..

:lol: that might help justify the cost of the tickets then! :fp:

Can't say I'm thrilled at the replacement list - Deftones will be fun to see (again), but Beady Eye - really?

My boss has just told me that we need to work through the long weekend as we're changing systems - I had to politely tell her to get fucked! I'll work the Saturday and Monday but there's no way I'm going to miss PJ.

I'm not overly impressed with the replacements either (there are still only 6 bands that I really want to see) but I'm still going to see PJ so it'll be a great day :D

You should consider yourself lucky with 6 bands that you have on your to see list .... I have 1 ... makes the ticket quiet costly really ... I was so hoping that one of the 3 added acts were going to make it that little bit sweeter for people like me ... bummer

  • I want to see
    PJ
    primus
    mudhoney
cosmic psychos (havent heard much of them but they seem rockin)
    deftones
    flume
    kingswood
    rufus
    jungle giants

I am also going to soundwave where there are over 10 bands i want to see which is going to make it stressful to make sure im seeing everything i want to see.

BDO has a perfect amount of good bands that i can hopefully have an hour or two where I am not rushing to a stage and stressing out haha.

Considering that Blur were goign to be starting after PJ finished (and I'll assume Beady Eye are doing the same) then I don't see how curfew can be a problem?

It all looks good for a long PJ set, starting to get pretty pumped up. I have a bus of 32 people coming with me and another 10 that live at the gold coast (all pearl jam freaks), can't wait! Only 2 of us doing Melbourne as well, trying to save for perth but Christmas presents are draining my bank account.

Try going onto Youtube and checking some of the Australian bands that will be at the BDO, Kingswood are awesome live, Loon Lake, Jungle Giants, Tame Impala & Blue Juice are all fun bands and should all be great to see live.

maybe it was one of blur's conditions that pj had to stop so they'd get more of a crowd? maybe? maybe beady eye didn't care because liam gallagher is a NIPPPP-PPPLE.

It does amuse me with the number of great bands on the lineup, people still complain, and still say that they are going to see one band only. I think you need to broaden your musical tastes, or at least check out some of the other bands on youtube and make a decision to see them or not. Make the most value out of your ticket, who knows, you might find a band you love!
My tip: See The Naked and Famous 8-)
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
  • I'll be there in Perth... :-)
Gonna see my friends... Tour or no tour. :-)
