I find it weird that they added this show "due to popular demand" but the first night isn't even sold out fully yet..

On the other hand Seattle was sold out within a few minutes...

Anyone going to Boston think they will announce a second Seattle show? We are all hoping for it over in the Seattle thread :)

I feel the same way, a little bummed I can't enter because I dd not enter for the original, but that's fine if it means someone who got shutout will get another chance.

    I will get there somehow.

I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

But that puts it on level with other 2 night cities. Imagine the outrage from New Yorkers, Philadelphinuts and Los Angelinajolies if they allowed Bostonians and Worcestershires to get 2 nights of 10c seats in the same city after denying them.

Its basically adhering to the same distribution rules as the other 2 night cities, Philly, Brooklyn and LA, its just that this is added after the fact because they were waiting to gauge demand. I assume the same will happen in Seattle as well and those who won Seattle 1 will be ineligible. Like the rest of the lottery not perfect, but I figured they'd do it this way if a second show materialized. The idea is to give locals who got shut out a better shot, but as you stated in attempting to do so they give travelling folks who threw in Worcester 1 as their 8th selection on a whim an equal shot for Worcester 2 as someone (like me) who had Worcester 1 as their first priority and missed out. Not perfect, but the best they can do in the currrent situation I think.

Edit: would be interesting if they had a way to just rollover your priority request from Worcester 1 if you decided to enter for night 2 so those who had listed night 1 as first priority had an advantage over those who listed night 1 as 8th or whatever, would probably tip the balance further in favor of locals, but likely getting too complicated for them to deal with.

What I bolded is my larger point. An easy solution if it's technically feasible would be this:

If you scored no tickets after putting in for Worcester 1, you have Priorities 1 and 2 available to you for Worcester 2.
If you scored tickets to other shows after putting in for Worcester 1, you have Priorities 3 and 4 available to you for Worcester 2.

This would ensure that anyone who whiffed completely gets taken care of first then they could move on to people who got tickets to other shows to fight it out for whatever is left over. Regardless, if everyone who got shut out completely gets taken care of this time I can deal with the wonkiness of the system and suppress my disappointment at only getting one show for the first time in forever.

I hear ya, system is never going to be perfect. I do believe they are trying their best, Worcester 1 was the first time I ever missed on 10c tix for a PJ show I tried for (did also miss out on Eddie solo show in 2011, but those are a different animal with smaller capacities), generally I only do New England shows(Randalls Island 96 and Albany 2003 only exceptions), so am quite glad for the crack at Worcester 2. As many have stated the crux of the problem is a combination of a growing fan club membership, lower allotment of tickets from promoter/venue than in past years and smaller tours than in the past. A new reality we have to adapt to.
