i guess i jumped the guy and signed up for tickets before i read all the rules. i have tix for the 10/15 show but it still allowed me to enter in for the 16th, i assume they will just kick me out when they audit the entries before the lotto.

    yes? no? maybe?

    thoughts?

Correct. It looks like I'm also physically able to enter, but from the drawing rules:

    - Members who won tickets to the Worcester Oct 15 show date are not eligible for these tickets.

    - Members who do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be drawn for tickets.

    HA,

yea, i was just coming back here to ask if its tacky if i enter anyway, since it will let me... but i assume they have that covered, and i cant actually win

  • I am sooooooooo happy!!! As a 13+ year member who got shut out of Worcester Reserved or GA as her only picks, I am thrilled to be getting another chance to secure 10C tickets. :D

I was really disappointed to lose Worcester 1 because I can only attend my local shows this time ... the single ticket that I was able to get in the public onsale was a lot crappier of a seat then I would normally get with 10C tix. But I accepted it and moved on.

I do wish that they would give priority to those of us who picked Worcester 1 as our first and only choice but lost ... I have as much of a chance as someone who had lost Worcester 1 on their 7th pick ... I guess we will have to leave it to karma.

Very fair if it's a Ten Club member who was shut out entirely. But does this mean someone who scored Hartford or Brooklyn, but lost out on Worcester as a lower priority are eligible? If so, that's kind of a bummer as someone whose only score was Worcester.
yes,but you can only score once if they play 2 nights at the same place
so even this show was from the beggining,no one could score twice this at this city

Seems like a weird distinction when you're adding a show, though. I'd understand it more if people who scored no tickets were given a priority. In this case you have many members eligible for this drawing who scored 1-2 shows already and have just as much of a chance. If this show had been part of the larger onsale, it would have been a much lower priority for most, if not all, of those folks and would've given the locals more of a chance.

My only selfish gripe is being on a different footing with someone else who already scored a show.
Its basically adhering to the same distribution rules as the other 2 night cities, Philly, Brooklyn and LA, its just that this is added after the fact because they were waiting to gauge demand. I assume the same will happen in Seattle as well and those who won Seattle 1 will be ineligible. Like the rest of the lottery not perfect, but I figured they'd do it this way if a second show materialized. The idea is to give locals who got shut out a better shot, but as you stated in attempting to do so they give travelling folks who threw in Worcester 1 as their 8th selection on a whim an equal shot for Worcester 2 as someone (like me) who had Worcester 1 as their first priority and missed out. Not perfect, but the best they can do in the currrent situation I think.

Edit: would be interesting if they had a way to just rollover your priority request from Worcester 1 if you decided to enter for night 2 so those who had listed night 1 as first priority had an advantage over those who listed night 1 as 8th or whatever, would probably tip the balance further in favor of locals, but likely getting too complicated for them to deal with.

So let me get this straight, My friend who won ten club tickets to 3 shows gets another shot because he didn't get first night Worcester , but I put in for 5 shows and only got 1 show. Yeah that's quite fair.
I kinda agree with your gripe here. If a member has a certain amount of "won" lottery entries already, I think enough is enough and they shouldnt be eligible for this lotto, regardless if they lost out on the first Worc night.

    Per the rules:

    Eligibility:
Only members who entered the drawing for the first Oct 15th Worcester show and whose names were not selected for either GA or Reserved tickets are eligible for this drawing

So at least the only people who can enter this lottery for Worcester II are members who entered for the first night and lost. Think of it as a consolation drawing ;)

The other upside to the 2nd show being added is that anyone who is currently without tix for night 1 should see evil secondary market prices for that show slide downward with a doubling of ticket supply.

I don't know where they will stay, but I would not put my money on Boston. There are plenty of towns outside of Worcester with nice hotels. Auburn immediately comes to mind.

Good luck to all those who are eligible and trying for tickets in the lottery! I'll be slamming away on Ticketmaster come the public sale date.

I'd bet on Boston. Always stayed in Boston when playing Mansfield, no real difference in a limo ride to Worcester than a limo ride to Mansfield.

GREAT JOB PJ! I got 10c tix for Worcester 1, and I think that's still very fair. Well done.

What are the chances that we get the entire new record played between the nights? Probably slim but I bet we get 8-10 of the 12 tracks. (There are 12 right? Did I make that up?)

I won tickets in the first Worcester lottery and think it's fair that I am not eligible. Good luck everyone.
