Single in 223 row N, behind stage nearly at the top. Its basically sold out, you'll see a few decent tix pop in October with production releases, but the question for a second show is does the promoter feel there's enough demand to sell the vast majority of tix for a second night. Obviously the opinion here would be its a no brainer, but the promoter/band's management needs to be convinced its do-able, plus the schedule needs to work (that part seems like its probable, they have the 16th off and the building is available still leaving the 17th to travel to Crooklyn).
I would think if a second Seatlle or Worcester show is going to happen we'll know this week. Right now the silence is deafening.
I understand Hartford is designated the new "second date".
I have zero issues with the Worcester venue . I can't think of another place other than Great Woods where I have seen more "classic" shows going back to BOC in 1982 (world wide radio broadcast suckers!)
The folks who understood my original post, thank you.
I don't know where the concept came about where this band only plays venues if they can completely sell it out?
Where is that written down?
My point is simple.
Greater Boston is not a one show PJ stop according to demand.
That 2010 show was "packed to the rafters" as Ed commented from the stage.
They could easily sell out a second night.
Are you forgetting folks like US go multiple nights?
Hartford is its own city / own stop ..
Love the Hartford shows but its not Boston / NY junior.
Give that city some respect. Even DMB has embraced Hartford to the point where that is now a yearly two night stay.
Fingers crossed PJ adds a second night in Worcester.
Peace out!

those single tickets have come and gone for a couple days.. and its always only one seat in the whole house.. not sure why they have popped up.. but its been "sold out" with a couple tickets here and there since saturday afternoon.. CERTAINLY since sunday.
i dont think one seat popping up in the last row behind the stage paints the picture of a show that still has tickets for sale.
Boston was spoiled for a long time...they always had 2 (if not more) shows every tour. 2010 threw everyone for a loop, but I think the assumption was that things would return to "normal" the next time around. They may or they may not. There is a good chance another show is added, and there's also a good chance an Albany show takes its place.
Be thankful you live in the northeast.

"Due to overwhelming demand, Pearl Jam has announced a second date at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA on Wednesday, October 16. Tickets for the newly added date are will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 am and are available at LiveNation.com, by calling (800) 745 – 3000, or at the DCU Center Box Office."
Regarding the single show in 2010 ... They couldn't play two nights in Boston that year because the Bruins were in the playoffs and had to hold dates. As a result, the building had to be available for a potential playoff game Tuesday, May 18.
As many remember, there was no third-round game that night because the Bruins fell apart in Game 7 against the Flyers the previous Friday (May 14). Instead, PJ added a show Tuesday, May 18, in Newark at the Prudential Center which was not on the original list of dates.
