This announcement is taking too damn long.

Are they planning to end the tour with a 10C only show? :o

And.... where can I buy extra lottery tickets for that :?:

Everyone is dreaming of a 10C only show!!!! OMG, that would be incredible. And I wouldn't really put it past them.... except that Ticketmaster seems to have known about a second show.... That's the only thing making be think it's just not going to happen. :( Then again... PJ has a bit of pull in Seattle I'm sure... You never know I guess!

That decision might have depended on the sale of the rest of the tour :?:

    If not now, when?

    Let's just do this!

Shit... But not far off except for some throw backs for a few hours. It was a feeding frenzy.... There are loads of tix available for Vancouver still... only a few singles scattered around... and then almost an entire section behind the stage; I'm pretty sure it's the no-alcohol section. No one wants those.[/quote]

Hate to break this to you. But typically every section in Key Arena is alcohol free. I have never been to a show there where they allow alcohol in seats. Usually its only available in the concourse.

Really?? That's weird. Why's that? In Vancouver it's all good except in that one "family" section.... and in every other arena show I've ever been to it's been okay (not smaller venues). But I've never been to one at Key Arena, so there you go! Doesn't matter to me. I will love a PJ show with or without alcohol. I just am not that interested in sitting with people who actually make a point of selecting a section where it's not allowed. You'd get all the parents with their kids.

I know it was that way. Eddie had a good rant in 2009 regarding it. But, I seem to remember going to a show there since 2009 and was surprisingly aloud to take beers back to our seat. I might be mis-remembering that, but I think they have finally dropped that ridiculous rule.

Pretty sure it was the floor you aren't able to bring drinks to (or in 2009 it was at least). I remember the rant clearly as I had similar thoughts while at the show. He was at a Paul McCartney concert.. sitting right over there *points* and he Paul McCartney was singing "All I need is love" and all I could think is "All I need is a fucking beer!"...

I totally don't understand alcohol-free-zones, especially at concerts.

Alcohol free? I might be one of the few that likes this rule.

Even with all the alcohol free zones Seattle is never a skunk free zone :)

Which i, as a smoker and not a drinker, still don't understand because second hand smoke can effect others an get them stoned, but people drinking can't make you drunk just by being around them (maybe irritated, but not drunk)

I do remember the same rant in 2009 about the beer tho, not sure if the rule still applies now.

I have never gotten high from second hand smoke unless I was in a hotboxed car. ;)

Since when does 2nd hand smoke get you stoned? Maybe if you were locked in a telephone booth with someone pumping in smoke for an hour.

went to Radiohead in April of 2012 and Roger Waters in May of 2012. Bought beer and drank it in the stands no prob.

They have Shocktop ($9), a micro IPA ($9), and a domestic (Coors I think? for $8). They also had red wine ($10). All which can be taken back to your seat. There's a basement lounge area that serves hard alcohol (if you're into $12 cocktails) cocktails purchased there, stay there.

The "alcohol policy" described on the Key Arena website doesn't say anything about not being able to carry beer to your seats. So hopefully they've changed that policy! I don't want to get drunk, but it sure is nice to have some beer to sip on while rocking out to PJ.

Well, in theory, you can get high from enough second hand smoke.

You can watch people drink beer for the rest of your life and won't be effected by it..

Simple observation is all ;) I did say I was a smoker :)

If they did do a December 7th show, I would HAVE to go, on principle. That would mark the 20th anniversary, to the day, that I first saw them at the Seattle Center Arena.

for the gorge shows in '06 from the day that 10c tix went on sale for the 1st show until the date they announced the 2nd show there was a gap of 8 days. not a big deal for those of us living relatively close (if a 5 hr drive is considered close.) altho i recall lots of peeps were upset about having to rearrange travel plans...

this tour hopefully there's no big time gap in announcing a 2nd show, since the 1st sold out and given that it's during the holidays. unless it's to completely sell out every other pnw venue, why delay announcing a 2nd? if for some reason a 2nd isn't going to happen...it'd be cool if 10club or tm made a statement that seattle gets just the one show on the 6th

i believe a 2nd show will be announced soon

  • So, I just called ticketmaster to see what info I could get about the possibility of a second show. I called and said a friend of mine said there was going to be a second show inseaatle is that true and if so when would tickets go on sale. He muted the phone with his hand and someone inq the background was saying something I couldnt hear what it was, he came back and said, well we have nothing right now but it sold out pretty quick it's likely they will. So I said if they do when do you think it would be announced and he said, PROBABLY Tomorrow! So then I said when would they go on sale and he said PROBABLY Friday! Thats a lot of specific probablies if you ask me!
