Maybe they're trying to bide time while all the imports make their plans concrete (in order to allow more locals to attend?).

I thought about that too  I mean, is there even still hotel rooms available in Seattle? PJ fans are rabid, I guess the good stuff is already booked out.
We have booked hotel and flights right after we got the tm tickets... But we would still be there on the 7th :D Make it happen, PJ!

I would completely expect 10c to say there are no plans for a 2nd Seattle show if you emailed them prior to it being announced.

I would bet they would have said the same thing to any fan down under about the Australian tour if they emailed them prior to Wednesday. Or said the same thing asking about a 2nd Worcester show prior to it being announced Tuesday.

Not sure why anyone would expect anything different.
Because I don't understand why they would answer at all. Why answer with an untruth rather than not answer? They simply don't reply to emails all the time... Anyway, doesn't matter. As I said, my initial reaction to the email was to not really believe it (although know there is a possibility there won't be a 2nd), and understand that the reply is basically meaningless. I was simply surprised to get any reply at all.

Delaying tactics 8-) They want to prevent anyone from spoiling the surprise, so they deny it right away! Wishful thinking :shifty:

But what if they really take into consideration that Seattle is the last show and that people maybe got tickets because it's so important to them to see the very last show? What if Stone has a root canal appointment on the 7th, or it's a band member's grammy's birthday? Or or or ...

No idea why they answered, my guess if they are getting crushed with emails from members asking about a 2nd date and finally decided to reply to hopefully calm it down some

I've been to all the Seattle Arena/Gorge shows since that second memorial stadium show in '98. It's still my 2nd favorite PJ show I've seen in Seattle (next to Gorge '05). I often wonder why they haven't played there again. Is the venue still operational?

I believe they still use it for bumpershoot

I'm going to Seattle so I'm hoping for a second show, but just wondering why they wouldn't announce it at the same time as Worcester if it was going to happen?

Memorial Stadium is still in operation. They use it mostly for football games & used to for Bumbershoot too. I haven't been to Bumbershoot in years though. I think it was a GEM of a show since it was for charity & it seems like a rather small venue in comparison to others. We saw a Husky scrimmage game there this past spring. I hadn't been there since 98' I was shocked. I think it is still my favorite PJ show though. I'll never forget hearing Yellow Ledbetter at the close. Good thing they brought in their own sound equipment. The sound there was absolutely HORRIBLE for the UW game lol.

I've never been to the Gorge. It's on my bucket list though. I sure would LOVE to see PJ outdoors again. :corn:

allthought they SHOULD still use it for Bumbershhot, i think they focus so hard on making BUmbershoot the WORST most embarrassingly awful festival in the nation, they now have all main acts in the Key Arena. I have not been there for years either, but that is because they consistently book headliners that should be headlining the Paramount or the Moore. every year it gets worse and costs more.

Worcester is in the first leg, and Seattle is in the second... The dates are what? Nearly a couple of months apart? We could be waiting a while before we either hear a show announcement or give up hope.

Also, people still seem to be able to pull Seattle tickets from TM. So even though the website says it's sold out, maybe it's not? Get 'em tickets, people!
  • Seattle's show is definitely Sold Out.
It does say "NOT MANY LEFT" but when I tried this was the reply I got "High demand! No matches...
Search again for these tickets (a fan may have let them go) or change quantity/ticket type."

Not sold out. I just found a single in sec 225 (not that I can go  ). Obviously only singles beside and behind the stage are left.

yeah, if there are any other shows to be rolled over, they may come first. Even west coast rollover dates.
