I don't like the residency stuff either. I have an international membership, but I'm living in the States now. In an area where they don't play a show. I always had to travel to see them. So I shouldn't have dibs on tickets?

I agree, I live in Seattle, went to Wrigley, then got shut out of Seattle. Big fucking deal. Although I'm really hoping for Seattle 2. The funny thing is of the 20 shows I've seen, Seattle shows would be on the bottom of the list. Good shows but crowds lacked energy. And that was before we legalized god's medicine. Hopefully with all the out of towers the crowd has more energy. Also for all those coming from afar, check out Ballard, Freemont, capitol hill and other areas just outside downtown.

It's the Pacific chill. I don't know what it is, but the Northwest (including Vancouver) is pretty subdued. There have been exceptions in Vancouver as far as the crowd goes, i.e. at Judas Priest and KISS and, surprisingly, The Killers... But more often than not, crowds in the region do tend to lack energy. I really don't know why this is. I grew up here, and I'm not like that, so have no clue what the cause is. I just keep hoping that it will get better as time goes on... It got worse. Wasn't really an issue until probably the 2000s. So if it can come, it surely can go too. :) Anyway, I doubt the Seattle PJ show will be like that because of the GA and a lot of members are coming in for it. Same with Vancouver, hopefully.

You make some really good points. It does seem putting seating on the floor mellowed the concerts a bit. I regret not being able to make the Vancouver show, Love that city. See you guys at Seattle 2(fingers crossed).

what i find funny is that if i go to a string of shows that include seattle or van plus other areas, it is a lot of the same people...but then i hear that seattle crowds aren't as "into" the show? but in calgary, those same people rock :? (talking sepcifically about the fan club area). i guess i'm just sensitive, like when eddie "yelled" at the first few rows during olé at the last vancouver show...i was jumping as high as i could! honest! :D

I too notice that everyone calls the Seattle shows subdued and blames it on the Seattlites....however, these shows usually hold the most out-of-towners and travelers out of the whole tour.

In 2009, I went to both Seattle shows. I absolutely loved them, but they were VERY "subdued". When the band went to Vancouver ( didn't attend), the crowd was totally different...so much so Eddie remarked, in not so kidding a fashion, about the difference. I could see the second Seattle show situation go either way...good luck though!! I can't recommend enough going to Seattle. Easy Street Records in West Seattle, Space Needle, Duck tour, etc. Just a great time.

 Oh god, that little incident was mortifying for me as a local and I wasn't even at the show. :fp:

Maybe everyone is just too high?? I personally don't get high at shows usually BECAUSE it mellows me out too much, and I don't want to be mellow at a rock concert... Judging from all the smoke at shows, that just may be the issue!

It's a lot of fun. An amphibian boat/tour bus takes you on a tour, and it's a blast. They make it funny.
Also, the Underground tour is awesome.

When I was on the Canadian tour Calgary and Edmonton were pretty amped up. When my ticket buddy won the seat lottery for Edmonton, I made a sign, 'Love from Seattle-see you in Vancouver' Mike came over (we were on Stone's side) read my sign and mouthed 'thank you' and stayed there playing his Alive solo right in front of me, and then handed me his pick. Glad I proved to them I wasn't a typical non-excited Seattleite. They know some of us are out there. ;)

I am dragging unlost, kw, and afro on this since Mr. RK thinks it's cheezy and refuses to go with me (I've never been, same with the underground tour)

Okay, I don't want to crush anyone's dreams or anything, but I guess I should post this: I had sent a futile email to 10C about lotto options for those who didn't try for a Seattle 1 IF there would be a Seattle 2 with the same rules as Worcester, and they replied with:

"Sorry there are no plans for a second Seattle show.

    -10c"

I wasn't even sure if I should post this, just in case they are simply trying to keep it under wraps, like, throw me off the scent, or are being technical about it, i.e. haven't completed plans for it or no plans YET but there will be or something. :? You'd think they just wouldn't have replied at all if that were the case maybe, but who knows. 10C also likes the cloak and dagger thing sometimes .... Anyway, I figured I should offer all info possible to those who are hoping for this.... Definitely not a good email to receive. Who thinks that's the bottom line, and there will be no second show in Seattle?

Yeah... Somehow I'm tempted not to believe it... It just seems like everything is set for a second show even though 10C said this... This may be a sign of me suffering from PJ delusion though. :fp:

    I got a similar reply.

    (But plans may change, yes?)

Were you really expecting them to answer a question regarding a show they haven't announced yet? The 10c/PJ camp is pretty tight lipped. I'd expect them to not say anything until they've announced it.

I would really be suprized if there wasnt a sencond show. What reason if any would there be for not having one? honestly. I think it will happen...
