I would also change the 2 tickets per 10C member rule to only 1 10C ticket per member and here's why: twice the number of genuine 10C members would be in with a chance to win the lottery instead of ticket spares being given to other people, and yes I know many spares are going to 10C members who weren't drawn in the lottery in the first place but at the same time many spares are just going to non members. If the floor of a venue is booked for 10C members only, I would like to see only 10C members on that floor and not friends of friends who are just there because they were sold or given the spare, if you know what I mean.
This is a great point. I'm a big fan of single tix.

sure, I am the one w/o a clue...

remember those days when you couldn't get tickets unless you bought them through the 10C?
now if I want good tickets I can pay a lot of extra cash on stubhub or something and I am done... things have changed a lot, and not for the best...

look at this, scalping GA tix for NY, only 2500 each ticket...
    https://www.ticketsnow.com/secureChecko ... 89296beb58

why weren't those tickets part of the lottery or for the fans?
thats why im saying you dont have a clue
1st... GA HAS ONLY 10C ..NO ONE ELSE..those arent legit like the ones at wrigley was listed for 200.000 $
read the infos and the fine prints 10c sents you and you will figure all out..
2nd.you dint score..thousands of fans score 10c tix with lottery and thousands today at public sale..
so,cos the system didnt worked for you today doesnt mean its wrong or didnt work for others..
start asking here in the forum for spares, same at facebook pages..
    and stop visiting scalpers pages..

You are missing the point... (and I am being polite)

If you change the rules you have to accept when the system doesn't work, and this new system doesn't give the fairness that PJ always advocated for their fans. That simple.

The number of scalped tickets now goes through the roof because the 10C doesn't want to deal with selling all the tickets as it did before. They went the Soundgarden way that, IMHO, SUCKS BIG TIME

And yes, there were GA tickets sold yesterday during the general public sale, a few of my friends got them before the complete SNAFU with ticketmaster...

The lottery as the only option is a poor option for us. I prefer the 10C presale hands down.

So, thanks 10C for leaving us in the hands of our friend ticketmaster, we missed them...
im not missing any point..i wasnt born yesterday
i know very well beign active memebr here what system is fair and what system help cheaters, scalpers etc..
    lottery as system worked perfect
no crash site,no wait hours to see if u score,no have it in my card and lost,no put my cc and didnty went through,no refresh for hours,no cheating with links that put you directly to check out page etc..
    and..
there was no GA tic sold yesterday..
you cant get into GA box with out 10c wristbands..
only 10c has wristband and GA tix..everything else is fake and not legit..
no 10c wristband,no GA section,NO MATTER WHAT YOUR TICKET SAYS..
if 10c sold 1000 GA tic, will have ONLY 1000 wristbands..
end of story with this bullshit about GA sold yesterday
and this my friends got them and blah blah blah,i heard it before..[/quote]

The real problem is the band does not play enough shows in the markets that need them and they don't come around enough for the demand to be realistic. Take the northeast, Brooklyn for example. Back in the day when they did the big tours, the demand was insane. Now your doing two shows in Brooklyn at a smaller venue because msg is under construction, the demand is simply out of control in certain parts of the country. Obviously if you can Travel, pick a show in Bumblefuck, Oklahoma and have a good time.

IF anything, the lottery should give your more balls for your seniority. Because that would make it fair. A person with a membership from 98 like myself should not have the same amount of chances as someone who joined in 2013. The lottery now really makes have a ten club memberships obsolete. There is no need now to hold on to it, Just join when needed.

you make great points, 10C membership is not needed for just a lottery, and it doesn't mean what it meant

another byproduct of this flawed system: now we have the chance to buy tickets at scalped prices which was not possible before, way to go...

    sigh...

i did 25 GA pj shows so far,i dont have to convince anyone,i just know how things are

as for scalpers you just assuming, you dont have any proof..

before, with the previous system scalpers, knew how to win the system, with f-5 and they can cheat and get ticket ALWAYS from fan club..
now they need to be lucky...as the rest..they dont have any power at lottery as they had with previous system

and to pick up the 10c tix is the same, day of the show will call..

so a scalper from ny ,will not fly to spokane to sell 2 tix...

will buy online from ticketmaster 50 tix .the best seats was for sale, cos he knows the ways to do it and make a fortune by seating at his computer, with out need to fly to the cities are the shows are, pick up himself the tic from will call ,to meet buyer in person, give his personal info ,his phone number etc..
just for a pair of tic???which dont know where the seats are??
when he cant listed anywhere as fan club tic,cos 10c will get him?
    yeah right..

kudos to 10c that ended that bullshit, with people has power on their hands and score always and some poor members never get fan club tickets...now ALL the same...all the same chances..

Look at Stubhub and where they don't have tickets for all the shows, I just looked at Brooklyn, LA, and San Diego. All the best seats in the house have 0 available. Look at it from a numbers point of view. If there are 500,000 fan club members, and 100,00 are going for a show in Brooklyn which holds 20,000, that's a lot of people trying to get tickets for a small space the 10c has reserved. Along with two tickets come with a fan club seat. Yeah, I was lucky this time but missed out on several shows before, just have faith in the 10c community, as the shows get closer there will be more tickets available.
  • You may not have complain the previous 80 times but i'm sure they were tons of fans who lost out using the prevous system. No matter what system they use, not ALL fans will get all the tickets they want...

I have been shut out before and it sucks but more often then not i get good seats through the 10c, back in 2009 i got shut out and got tickets at stubhub that i paid way too much for only to see scalpers selling tickets at face outside key arena the day of the show.

This is what happens when you have a broken system. Everyone and their brother comes up with some hairbrain idea that sounds good to them. A one ticket policy is not a good idea. It only benefits people who don't have friends. And now we are wasting time arguing about a silly suggestion. The only reasonable option is to do away with the lottery altogether or tweak it so that members with seniority have better chances at winning.

But this system does not work. Anyone can see that.

Lottsa good points brought up here!!!! I don't like the latest method , but not sure what the perfect solution is.
I changed by not changing at all!
  • Any argument that starts with I and not we is always wrong. I didn't get tickets, so it sucks. I always got tickets so that was good. More tix are available now, but I used to always get tickets, so who cares about the folks that used to miss out because I always got what I wanted. Now I didn't, so it must be bad.

Does that sum up your argument? Way too many I's in there. Now in your attempt, you masked the I with collectives, but my paragraph above was really what you were saying.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Limit the amount of how many shows you can go to....Via fan club ticekts....Will help out a lot....3 ot 4 shows is plenty per a fan club member.....I still don't understand how some fans didn't win tickets for the shows ....That the 10c had a second drawing for...

After the frustration of 8+ hours online trying to get tickets to PJ20 and getting shut out, I like the new system. I don't have to spend an entire day at my computer and I still get a great shot at good seats. Plus, there is a lot more to being a member of the Ten Club than just getting concert tickets. The band and the club treat its fans extremely well. If I occasionally have to go through Ticketmaster or Stubhub to see my favorite band because I got shut out of Ten Club tickets, then so be it.

Good question and another issue related to the new system. It seems clear to me that this was anything but an automated process. I say this because I waited from 1PM until 11PM to find out if I was selected. I would think an automated process would be a tad bit quicker than 10 hours. So manual intervention was applied at some point and I think it became way more complicated than they anticipated resulting in a monumnetal clusterf*. I think/hope this explains why it was such a disaster because this means that it has a chance to be fixed somehow. But we'll never really know because the 10 club is not addressing this issue and is acting like everything is fine when it is not.

My personal experience from being in the 10 club since 1996:

Chance of getting tix thru 10 club prior to lottery system = 100% (20 for 20)
Chance of getting tix thru 10 club with lottery system = 12.5% (1 for 8)

thats the success of the new system..the rest 87.5% went to different members than just to one
