part of being a fan is constructive criticism. there's so much i love about this band and i'm fairly vocal about it(binaural tour is the greatest thing that ever happened to recorded music) but, if there's something i don't like (future days and the merch situation at wrigley), i should be allowed to speak my mind without an internet tongue lashing from noobs like you.
I think I may be a Meat Head. What exactly is a Noob? And some PJ songs due suck.Just like some shows are better then others and get this I don't agree with a lot of the political views expressed. But I still keep coming back.
I agree with your original post, but you sort of turned it all around by starting to insult people replying to you.
Best advice is like Dimi said, just ignore all that. I completely understand voicing your opinion, about things like the wrigley merch organization, how the lottery system worked, etc. What I don't get is all the people who think basically no music the band has put out since 1998 is really worth their time. If you've thought they suck for 15 years, I don't think things will improve for you anymore. I'm not registering on the Smashing Pumpkins board saying how awful they are now.
We all have things that bug us and if fellow PJ fans can't understand our gripes/complaints then who the hell will? If the complaints bother anyone then don't read those threads - at least that's what I do. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to the tour the south thread to bitch about them not hitting Louisville for the 20th year in a row :P
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...
Some people act like little sissy babies when it comes to voicing their opinions on something but I think some concerns are very valid. How else is the 10c supposed to make improvements without hearing members grievances?
some people get mad at me because i think johnny guitar is the most interesting song on backspacer
the same people get mad at me because i think just breathe is the least interesting song on a pearl jam record ever
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status
Bob Ross never complained about anything. "We dont make mistakes, we have happy accidents."
Ole might be a happy accident.
I think it's Ok to not like things and be vocal to a degree... I mean, if you dont like Future Days, you still got 30+ other songs to rock out to at Wrigley.

Whisper in my ear
Give me something to echo
In my unknown futures ear

I feel the same way.

Bam.
It all comes from the same place; a passion for this band. And you have to keep it real.
