But I will add that because of all the bitching about the merch lines @ Wrigley posted on this board in the days leading up to the show, I chose to completely ignore them and never regretted it.
Also listened to the sound check the day before because of the link provided on this board.

I wish we'd talked about it too! I am right there with you on last kiss and supersonic... I just think ole is even worse. Although I do like that kind of song generally.... I think it's him yelling Ole!! Ole!! Seems really stupid to me. But to each their own!

Exactly. While there is a lot of negativity around here, there is also respectful criticism. There are way too many people that jump all over anyone who would dare say something negative about PJ or 10c. People are going to have many different opinions about many different things....it's crazy that some people just can't accept that.

I love punk! I think MYM is fantastic and my second favorite band is Fugazi. It's not the style - just that individual song. For the most part I really love the punk-influenced PJ. Can't win em all I guess! Right, meat head? :fp: I did not get that comment at all, did you?

It's the whining that becomes hard to take, or the disdain some people express, as though they're MAD when they don't like something. It's the anger that's tough to take, not the opinions behind it.

Well, there are all minds of people with all kinds of tastes. Many love ballads, many love punk inspired (you're right - punk-inspired, not punk.... And actually MYM sounds like rock to me), some like neither I guess.... But I think that most people are pretty open minded and love all the different styles PJ brings. I certainly do. There are just a few songs that I don't like, and that is so okay with me. Doesn't matter. I fucking love Pearl Jam and they do not make me angry, ever! Not even during the grunge era.... I was not full of angst as a teen.
