you sound like a noob, op

part of being a fan is constructive criticism. there's so much i love about this band and i'm fairly vocal about it(binaural tour is the greatest thing that ever happened to recorded music) but, if there's something i don't like (future days and the merch situation at wrigley), i should be allowed to speak my mind without an internet tongue lashing from noobs like you.

Exactly. While there is a lot of negativity around here, there is also respectful criticism. There are way too many people that jump all over anyone who would dare say something negative about PJ or 10c. People are going to have many different opinions about many different things....it's crazy that some people just can't accept that.
true..i think especially the thread of the old time member and his seat location at Wrigley was so fuckin great post!and has a good conversation, except an idiot who try trolling..
i believe evereyone posting respectful always get noticed and a good needed conversation happpens..

I hope MYM can get you in touch with the little punk rocker in your heart.. The memories of your first babysitter listening to Dead Milkmen and Black Flag.. I think I dig the punky shit.. punky brewster!!
I love punk! I think MYM is fantastic and my second favorite band is Fugazi. :D It's not the style - just that individual song. :) For the most part I really love the punk-influenced PJ. Can't win em all I guess! Right, meat head?:lol:;) :fp: I did not get that comment at all, did you?

It's funny no one likes the ballads, last few records, punk songs(which aren't punk songs really) etc

Just the generic merch that is uninspired crap for the most part  literally risk their health to wait in a line for hours in excessive heat. I don't get it

No meat head marries Leezestar. :P

Anyway, back to the topic, I don't mind people voicing opinions about songs they don't care for and stuff, or legitimate probs they have with processes in 10c... It's the whining that becomes hard to take, or the disdain some people express, as though they're MAD when they don't like something. It's the anger that's tough to take, not the opinions behind it.

Well, there are all minds of people with all kinds of tastes. Many love ballads, many love punk inspired (you're right - punk-inspired, not punk.... And actually MYM sounds like rock to me), some like neither I guess.... But I think that most people are pretty open minded and love all the different styles PJ brings. I certainly do. There are just a few songs that I don't like, and that is so okay with me. Doesn't matter. I fucking love Pearl Jam and they do not make me angry, ever! Not even during the grunge era.... I was not full of angst as a teen.

    Haha

If it makes people happy that's cool

    A) 10c will prop sell some stuff
    B) I'd rather pay a lil extra than wait hours for something that will fade, shrink, rip
    C) I usually buy some merch, nothing was "must have"

Posters I'm 99% sure 10c will carry later and at worst secondary market will drop
4 posters..... Like thousands of each in circulation

No need to panic and overspend

    Bollocks.

This is a forum to discuss Pearl Jam, the good and the bad. (Although mostly it's a forum to discuss tickets at the minute  )

They've been my favourite band for 15 years, but I haven't liked every single song they've ever released and I'm not going to pretend to, or be made to feel like I'm a 'negative' fan.

If Lightening Bolt isn't up to much, I'm going to say so.

I'm also a massive Dylan fan, yet he's released some right guff in his career.

I'm sorry were you talking to me? I wasn't paying attention since I was riding my unicorn and going rainbow jumping in Candyland on the way to Fantasy Island. Perhaps you caught some of my positive vibe.

Some people act like little sissy babies when it comes to voicing their opinions on something but I think some concerns are very valid. How else is the 10c supposed to make improvements without hearing members grievances?
