Since the majority of everyone will be buying a bootleg from goods for the winner, and the 2013 bootlegs aren't out yet, are we doing to gift card thing? Or do we need to wait for them to be released? How do we want to work this?

My vote is for the gift card option.

How are gift cards sent? Are they physical gift cards? How much do was pay for them to be mailed? Also, if we bought gift cards, we'd have to include the cost of shipping the CD to the winner, right? So if we went this route, we have to make sure we know how much that will be for the CD to be sent to that person and include that in the card amount. If the gift cards have to mailed, we will all have to pay extra for that.... Kind of seems easier to just send the CD directly to the winner.... Or, we could make our individual decisions about that of course! But just remember to factor in the shipping cost, because we don't want the winner ending up having to pay for that. :)

I was hoping its more of a virtual gift card with a code. Has anyone bought/recieved a gift card before?

If they are physical gift cards then I guess it makes more sense just to wait. I have no problem with that as it looks like I'm not gonna win. Maybe leave it up to the winner to decide amongst the losers individually?

Next time we do this, we all should pledge 1 bootleg for our conference winner + the amount to cover part of the full tour box for the overall winner. Like this year, 60 people send $6.25 each to the overall winner, and they can get the $375 tour boxset.

Yeah, it would be a lot easier if they were virtual gift cards (really shouldn't be called cards then though, lol). If the winner picks gift cards, then boots really aren't the prize. The prize is basically cash (and nothing wrong with that).

They are virtual gift cards. You are sent an email with a code that you apply to your account. The system tracks your balance. Very high tech for 10C, honestly. I was impressed.

All each winner would have to do is add a bootleg to their cart, check the shipping charge, and relay that information to the rest of their league. It should be pretty smooth and easy.

  • I'm down with the gift card, but I also like the $6.00 each so that the winner can buy the whole tour boot. I guess it depends on whoever wins. That person should get to decide!

well I believe that it is free shipping to USA. But if the winner is international, perhaps we all give a 20ish gift certificate to the winner so they might do it in one transaction that should lessen the S+H cost.

Just stick with what was pedged to the conference winner. Or if you want to change to a bootleg download, like most folks, I'd say the 10C gift card is the way to go. I guess it's up to each person whether that means $10 for the mp3 or $15 for the Flac

If anyone's last song(s) is/are played, they will jump into the lead as long as they have a difference of less than 26 duplicates with the leader. That's why I hope they really mix up the setlist in Seattle!

JB23237, I think you are eliminated, unfortunately... :( Even if all 9 of Sparkys songs get played at the 2 remaining concerts, he still will have more points.

Got Breakerfall AND Kick Out The Jams tonight…boom! Glad I'll be at this Seattle show…guess I better make an "EDUCATION" sign!

The $6.25 would be for next time we do this if we get enough people that want to have an overall winner. This time it won't work because I don't want to change the rules in the middle.

I am also planning to live update the setlist for Seattle, despite the 4 hour time change :fp:  So we will know the winner as soon as the show ends. :)

So glad I got God's Dice last night, hoping for Johnny Guitar in Seattle, it looks like no Who You Are for me, but the way it has been you will never know.

I can not believe how close all the conferences are, it is pretty crazy with the way the set list have been. This has been so much fun, I can not wait to do it again in 2014.

Frankie, I do like the bootleg box set idea, damn, you think of some good things, good one.
