I would get started ASAP. Even moving pretty well, the other 3 conferences took like 3-4 weeks. You guys will have to move quick and stay on each other to keep it moving.

You could probably just do 9 teams... or accept 3 people who are already participating in the other 4 conferences.

We're allowed to play in more than one conference? If so, I'll also play this new conference if they need a replacement for the no-show (maybe 2 more people would like to step in as well?).

We'll have to be on the ball for the picks, since time is relatively short. The picks are made one at a time by rotation. There is a whole fantastic google doc being used so that everyone can see each person's pick as they're made. And we email the whole conference each time we make a pick so that the next person knows it's their turn. :)

yeah, it goes quick for the most part (and is fun). It is done via email and google doc. It took awhile because now and then people might vanish for a day... but it was cool, nobody was in a hurry and we had a lot of time. Now, not so much.

The Google doc comes with a second one that has all the songs listed along with basic stats though. Easy peasy. :)

It looks like we can start with just 11.

I'm talking to BN8419 about getting us set up in the spreadsheet, so we can start the draft.

Just plug the 11 people into the randomizer (on the 1st page of this thread) to come up with a draft order. Someone will come forward and we can plug them into the #12 spot. I put another team needed in the title

    here are 3 other conferences:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... QMXc#gid=0

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... TcWc#gid=0

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... QN3c#gid=0

just make a google doc to mimic that, but clear out the information and coloring. Start an email thread to include everyone. 1st pick announces their pick in the email, states who is next... and also updates the google doc and highlights the song & puts their name next to it. And so on.

Basically you have 14 days to get 120 picks in. That is about 9 per day.

    Go! Go! Go!

If the 12th spot of the new conference is still open I would take it. My donation would be a boot from goods. Thanks!

It might be easier just to organize a live draft. have everyone sign into a chat room or something (Skype?) and then draft all 120 picks in an hour or 2? Start with the email chain and then if it comes down to you needing to catch up maybe organize a large live draft?

Maybe even 2 picks at a time for rounds 3-8...

    :P

Two picks at a time to start is a good idea.
I don't know if a live draft would work too well - seriously doubt we could get 12 people doing that all at one time.

Basically, each song is worth 0

it gets played and it is worth 25. Each play after that, its value is reduced by 1. So if it is played at all 25 shows, it will be worth 1. Played only once is worth 25. 3x would be worth 23.
Whoever's roster has the most points at the end wins.
So the key is to pick a song that will get played 1 time. Probably dont want to whiff though, so there is a level of risk you often ponder.
Tags do not count. The setlists are as they are listed in the GTF Forum fanview thread (other than a glaring obvious omission/addition).

I would start the draft (ASAP) and if it is dragging, move to 2 picks at a time after Round 2.
Last 2 rounds get sketchy though so I would suggest last 2 rounds 1 pick at a time if you do this.

T-minus two weeks. I can't wait for this tour to start - seeing two shows - just enough to make me enjoy this fantasy league all the more.
