There is a seller on ebay who had about 6-8 of each of the four posters which he is selling for $160 each. How does one bloke get 30 posters let alone all the other Wrigley merch he is selling. Id love to own some merch from this, being in Australia wasn't able to make it to the gig, but I think ill give up hope of getting anything with the ebay prices i've seen.

Ps. Also blasted a guy on ebay for listing the Ames variant about 10 min after the sale finished.

While waiting in line, I saw SEVERAL people not in line asking the people closest to the stand to make purchases for them. They'd offer them extra cash (I couldn't tell you how much) and that's how these people ended up with 30+ posters. We'd then see people laying them out on the sidewalk to photograph and list right then and there.

Our little section openly booed and shamed the people who were doing it. <shrug> Not that it mattered.
If I knew where it was, I would take you there....

Looks like the guy has supply/demand figured out.

Has plenty of bidders on almost everything.

    We created this monster...

Just don't cave to the pressure to have it all now. He knows the market conditions are on fire for some of this stuff. The price will drop. Will drop.

Just hang tight and let it ride for a few weeks/months. There are very few items that will stay inflated.

PJ20 Posters are holding steady, but dropping and showing up more and more. The most prized Munk print is still way high, but that wasn't an event poster, so to speak. It was available to anyone online, weeks after Alpine.

LA Towels are dropping now. Couldnt touch one for less than $150 for a few years. A towel for fucks sake. They are now finding their way in to others hands.

The exclusivity of PJ merch is a thing of the past. Paul, you would know best here... no mini bottle type items in years. Those werent show items either though...

The more I think about it, concert merch is everywhere after you wait for the rush to die down, but the hard to find items were sold on the website or were special promos. Backpack, limited vinyls, keychains, etc.

Just for curiosity sake, what was the original price for those Wrigley posters? I'd be interested to know just how much those asshole are making off of the fans.

Yep, if only people wouldn't buy from people like this. They'd go away. But people need to have stuff yesterday. :fp:

I know this will be met with criticism, but I totally understand trying to lighten the load on your wallet from travelling to these shows. But this is ridiculous. This guy is a total asswipe. They really shouldn't sell merch outside anymore. Sure, it's easier to grab your stuff and take it back to the car or the hotel but...

This will continue to happen. Real fans will get shorted their sacred poster and show specific merch while greedy fucks like this guy make $5,000 in 3 days.

P.S. I wasn't sure if I was going to end up with a sticker from anyone so I actually paid $15 for a blue and $10 for the white sticker. But that's the type of collector I am. I want every sticker and I will have every sticker.

That guy is adding to his touring funds. This will pay for his tickets/lodging and the ability to buy more merch at future shows to then continue to make more money.

My friends and I stood in line for 4 plus hours like the boatloads of others, and we came up with an idea....

You get to the arena, pick up your 10C tickets, then you have have said ticket scanned to enter an area where merch is sold, only for 10 C members. I believe that would at least help control a lot of the people who bought merch who are not 10 Clubbers. There could also be merch booths other than the 10C for those w/o tickets.

The 10 C merch booths should then be able to stock enough posters, and all the other merch, for every 10 C member to get their quota.

I' m sure this has flaws, as some of you will let me know, but something better than what happened w/ the Wrigley merch stands should be done.

    Cheers and be well,
    Barger

At the end or the day a business objective was achieved - they sold a ton. Why make it more difficult to make money ?

Can't really blame them for selling the stuff to whoever - they just need to sell more - supply more and get the booths manned a take the profits rather than the scalpers doing it

There was no way they could of had merch tables inside Wrigley. That place inside is so narrow that you can barely walk through it. If those merch lines were inside, no one would be able to get to their seats. The only way this could have been prevented was to have a presale.
