May I chime in for a word of advice?
I hear theres construction galore and I remember n my past trips many years ago
there was construction everywhere.
I'm coming from one of the most southern points of NYC.
Can anyone give advice on the best route?
My iPhone pulled up 3 routes :
*I-95 ( I know this is NOT the way to go ) 2 hrs 31 minutes.
*I-91 North 2 hrs 32 minutes
*CT-15N 2hrs 37 minutes
Im just looking for a nice flow- dont care if it is 3 minutels longer.
Thanks in advance !
When are you planning to leave? I mean, I took 15 to New Haven this summer, driving late morning, and it was a breeze.
The thing I've noticed about traffic tie-ups in CT is that they seem random. Does 511ny give you road conditions for CT? Or is there a similar service for CT (e.g., we have 511NJ)? Your best bet might be to check that as you go.
So, looks like there are a bunch of lots surrounding this venue?? Is tailgating not a thing? That's what my friends and I were planning on doing...is there anywhere to do this?
I doubt you can tailgate in those lots.
I know the lot in front of the entrance, right off the highway, you can.
Thanks for that! I know where I'll be!

Just a heads up, last Pj concert in Hartford the Hilton was pretty vigilante about people bringing their own alcohol to their room. We noticed they got stricter as the day went on. But they do provide a hotel bar with overpriced drinks!!! Enjoy

im pretty sure there isnt a written rule about coolers! I just called the hotel & asked if I can bring a cooler & they said no problem! Ive worked in hotels for years & never heard of such silliness!

I hear ya, me and my wife were shocked as we watched an old security guard giving everyone a hard time about alcohol. He was going through their coolers etc. I didn't say I wasn't gonna bring my own, just a warning!! Enjoy
for those familiar with the arena, my dad is doing my a big favor and driving me and dropping me off and killing time with mom in the city while we are at the show
do you have any suggestions on areas that they can park the car and we can meet them at after the show that will be easy for both of us and wont be chased off my cops and also safe?
Question. Staying at Hilton. Is there any free parking lots nearby besides the garage next door that charges $18
Ill be there too, coming the same way. in 2010 there was a garage where you parked and they gave us a pass to park for free. I can't remember the exact specifics but if you go to the main entrance and check in they will give you directions proper. I know I didn't pay for parking but it was in a parking lot that charged. That being said, it was 3 years ago.

Hey does anyone know how GA works? Do you get your tix then line up or vice versa? What time do I need to get there to get a good spot in front? I heard people in Philly were just staying over on the street after the first night to get a good spot for the second night. Can anyone verify that?
Thanks,
nikita

Thanks for the info. I have the choice of GA with my tall girlfriend (I'm short, which kinda sucks for GA) or reserved, which would be lower 115 if they are the same as Worcester...What would you do - any of you? Last time I was on the floor was London 2007 (rail, Mikes side) and the crush was so bad I couldn't breathe. On the other hand he threw a pick down my shirt

I'm sure any of the lots where the bars/restaurants are fine. Or even the garage if they're willing to do so. I don't know Hartford too well, just don't go too into the city.

HOMETOWN SHOW.
Wow! nice.
I can't get to Hartford until probably 5:30 so can't make the pre-party. Looking for a place to grab food and a couple drinks.
