im thinking of upgrading my seats from 119 row L to 106 row P seats 3 and 4
is this a worthy upgrade if i can get it for face value?
lost out on these
i have another pair for face 204 row b which is the actual front of that section is that worthy upgrade from 119 row L considering its closer to the stage and front row of section?
anyone with an opinion on the 204 pair compared to my 119?
lol i know i will enjoy it either way but might as well upgrade to better seats if i can for face value right?
ya dude, hartford is small, your in the building... seats dont matter that much there... outta my 35 shows Hartford is the SMALLEST venue ive seen the full band in... just enjoy the show, the energy there in 2010 was remarkable!

Its true. In 2010 I was lucky enough to have floor seats and when I was leaving the arena, I turned at the last seat in the last row at the back of the venue and thought, "Wow, even the last row is better than most seats ive had at other shows." It really is a small venue and every seat is a good seat.

Lightning Bolt arrived yesterday. Listened three times already. I'm making sure I am familiar with the album. Judging by the first two shows' set lists, who knows what opener we'll get. Pendulum to Release as a 1-2 start would be fucking with us.

There had been some comments on Facebook about where to stay in Hartford, whether or not downtown is safe, etc. For what it's worth, here is my perspective as someone who visits the city about once per year.
We were in Hartford yesterday and Friday for the marathon. I first ran Hartford in 2009, and my husband and I have noticed a big change in that downtown area over the last few years. The Hartford we saw this weekend was a much nicer city than what we saw in 2009. There were more, better, restaurants open, more arts/ night life activities, and fewer street people.
It is a short walk (two blocks?) from the XL Center to the Residence Inn on Main Street, a bit further to the main Marriott. The Residence Inn is not a particularly quiet hotel, but I'm guessing any of you staying there will be the source of the noise rather than the people who are trying to sleep.
For what it's worth, New Jersey people: Our drive from northern NJ to Hartford on Friday afternoon took 3 hours 20 minutes instead of the 2 hours 20 minutes it should have taken. If you've made that drive, you know traffic can be very trying.
Now I have a question, about parking: I noticed a lot of signs for parking in the downtown area around the XL Center. Like a lot of people, we will be hustling to leave work and fight traffic to get to Hartford. Is parking generally easy to obtain? Any tips? Thanks!
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.

Hey curmudgeoness, where are you coming from?
If you can get there early, the parking lot across from the front of the XL Center is my favorite spot to park whenever I go to UConn games and the Hartford 2010 show. It's convenient, across the XL Center, and able to get to the bars that are near the XL Center. I can't remember what the price is to park there; $10? There's also the parking garages right next to the XL Center.

We're coming from New Jersey, and we will not be getting there too early -- I'd guess 6:30 at the earliest (yes, that makes me anxious). We've always parked in hotel lots since this is the first time we will not be staying in town, so my main question is, will there be parking available, or should we expect to walk a mile to the arena?

Does anyone have an extra ticket? I was initially just going to Worcester 1 and 2 but after seeing the varied setlists from the first couple shows there's no way I want to pass on Hartford anymore.
