I'd say 3 hrs at a minimum. Their shows with an opener are usually 2 hr 15 min to 2 hr 30 min, take out the opener and that they go on around 7:30 (although i'm expecting a little later than that, but not much) and that the curfew is 11 (although I think they will go a little past that). Just my guess though, wishful thinking.

I'm thinking and hoping it will be a 3+ hour show. With no opening band and billed as "An Evening With Pearl Jam" thing, I think one of the two London and Wrigley shows will get an opening acoustic set. I think that would make more sense at London given the smaller, more intimate venue and might not work as well at Wrigley (although it would be amazing). So I hope for Wrigley they put together one of those longer shows that is just 3+ hours of rocking out. Given the obvious hype and venue of this show, what Stone has said, and Ed's hometown and life long Cubs fan - I think they will put together something special and throw a lot of gems in there. It's going to be very interesting to see what Ed does with the set list for this show.

Now, if I can just get through this next full work week and then only 3 days next week. It's going to be a epic show.

Just being in that stadium on a Friday night in the summer is a special experience.
Add live Pearl Jam and, well, that is about as good as it gets.

I am thinking they might come out guns blazing

but that is just masturbatory speculation :lol:

I still say it's gotta be either Hard To Imagine or Release to open the show. One of the two - gotta be.

And either will be fucking fantastic.

After the first note of the shows where I saw it as an opener I said to myself "No great show has ever started with Elderly Woman". .
While it is a quite weak opener it did open Grand Rapids 06 which is considered one of the best shows of the 06 tour, so it does not mean the show won't be great, it just means your opener isn't as great is it could have been.

I Like elderly women as an opener, it sets a great tone with the crowd right from the start plus it eliminates any chance that it takes up Encore Slot... Its a fun 3 minute song, doesnt matter how many times youve seen it

Man, I would love this. Unfortunately, I just think one of the London or Wriglet shows will get it and I think it's more likely London will get it due to a smaller, more intimate venue. Wrigley more likely just to get one of those rocking marathon shows. But an acoustic set with the sun going down over Wrigley sounds nice, yeah? Then a long electric to do the place justice, yeah?

Can't fucking wait for this show and I can't believe we're closing on one week. Let's do da damn thing!

The show will be great no matter what, I'm just going to have a great time with my buddy. I'm not attending any more PJ shows this year, so hopefully this is one that will never be lived down.

I want a bootleg of the Wrigley show, my buddy said the last show he went to was great, but he could barely remember it. He went to the East Troy show in 2000, the show in which it was 26 degrees F outside

I'm probably in the minority, but I'd rather not have an acoustic set at Wrigley. I'd much rather have them open with something fast and then just play for 3+ hours.

+1 I'd like to start hard and fast! Ideally, it'd be great if they mixed it up throughout the show. Throw in a couple of slow, "lose yourself in the experience" type songs but keep it fired up until we can't feel our legs anymore! Open with Porch and we'll tear the shit out of that pit! That'll set the tone for the evening.

I dunno, I think there's a high probability of a singalong/acoustic portion of the show... including:
- Elderly Woman
- Someday We'll Go All the Way (Cubs song)
- Betterman (Lullaby version?)

I'm guessing 35 songs, most of the sing a longs and hits, 3 rarities, Release opener, RITFW closer, and they play the new single.

3 hours of Paul McCartney and 3 hours of Pearl Jam in the same week.

I've been getting so pumped for this show that I've been having trouble sleeping at night. Even if we get some weather and rain, it's only going to enhance the party and the show.

Let's do da damn thing!
