You really think Come Back is terrible? I really don't see why people don't like it.
I don't like it either. It has the whole '50's high school dance music feel.
I'm seeing Marty McFly up on stage just playing this song in Back to the Future.0 -

I agree I love Come Back, it's actually one of my favourite songs, the pain and raw emotion in that song is amazing

I'm pretty sure the author of the article didn't mean the sing sounds like Black...from what I gathered, Sirens evokes emotions in them similar to Black.Ed...buddy...pal...stay true to your word and play Boise again.

Each record is different - so its only logical the new record will have its own flavor. You folks fearing a sequel to Backspacer or wishing for Black II crack me up.www.cluthelee.com0

And nothing have to. Each song stands on its own.
These comparisons are just for the sake of reference. I like what they said about Mind Your Manners: it's just as heavy and fast as STBC, but lighter and different at the same time - what does that tell us??? Nothing. Sometimes I think they clunk all the "fast" and "slow" songs together. Like:
- Lukin is like STBC without heaviness but a bit faster (read: not like STBC at all).
Or
- Sirens is a piano piece with some guitars that is not like Just Breathe (which didn't have a piano btw) but more with a Black "vibe" (ok - wtf does that mean???)
I take it with a grain of salt and listen to it when it comes out. I am just stoked about the "piano" part (a song build around a piano is somewhat new for PJ), that Mike plays a major role in it and that the song is 5 minutes long. In short: I wad through the references and BS - enjoy it at the same time, for it gives me a direction but nothing more than that - and hear it when the song comes out.
Ps: what is it with this relentless hate against Backspacer - jeez.0 -
