    Love it!

Is he flinging something into the audience?

Seems he has a prompter now.

If he needs it to get himself going on a certain verse or to start a song, what's the big deal?

I think he's had it now for a few tours hasn't he?

I noticed a teleprompter at GCF last year. I only saw it during Redemption Song though.

And no, he shouldn't use a teleprompter IMO

I have to say no as well. Sometimes the audience gets to bail him out of a jam which is always pretty special and adds energy to the performance.

I don't really care either way. What I have noticed especially this tour when bringing out the old or rare jams he struggles with lyrics a bit and covers it up with a grunt or growl instead.

No! It gives each performance it's own character.

    Agree.

That box directly in front of him that looks like a speaker is actually hollow and filled with lyric sheets. He should use them more often. ;)

I actually think he does a pretty amazing job remembering the lyrics. Yes he screws up occasionally but not very often.

I sat side stage a few nights this tour, did not notice one. He did have a lyric sheet for Comfortably Numb in Miami but it was at his feet and the writing was so small that I'm not sure he even looked at it.

I noticed a teleprompter at GCF last year. I only saw it during Redemption Song though.

    That was for Beyonce

Clearly a man comfortable with vocal blemishes and who doesn't care if you aren't:

I don't mind flubs live when I'm there. When it's annoying is when I'm listening to a bootleg he fucks up Do The Evolution or Immortality royally.

    The teleprompter idea is awful.

I've seen the headshake but NEVER noticed he flubbs the line. What the hell. Ive seen that video 1.5 million times.

I don't know how Ed does it. They can walk out there and play any one of about 140/150ish songs? There's no way I could do that. My memory isn't near that good.

I hope Pearl Jam keeps touring, and plays until they're so old that Eddie needs one. I think it's pretty impressive he can do most of it off by heart.

Same here. The mind blown pic says it best

All for the teleprompter or lyric sheets. Ed knows the lyrics to the hits so why not encourage him to play the deep cuts with a cheat sheet?

I probably thought differently in the past but now why care?
