Me and my longtime PJ concert buddy doubled down with lottery wins for GA floor at both PJ and Phish night 2, both of his doing. Same guy won us tickets for Soundgarden's Lolla warmup show at the Vic a few years back.
I'll be there for Sat and Sun. I know there were a few others too that I'd spoke to about getting together. I scored a Sunday ticket but still need one for Sat.

I'm riding solo (I think) for my first phish show ever. Really pumped. I've been told the lawn is riculiusly huge, so there will likely be plenty floating around for less than face. Can anyone substantiate that?

I can't substantiate that, but the last few shows I've been too there have been tons of extras. Don't think it's a problem at all.

The venue has been around since 2005, but this is the first year they opened up about six additional acres for lawn access, bumping the capacity from around 9000 to 30,000 depending on the show. It's hard to know how the change affects ticket sales outside the venue, comfort of tailgaiting and security. My gut says with three shows and 90k possible tickets for Phish weekend, it won't be hard to find fair prices on a busy weekend (Sox in town, big Country concert at Wrigley on Sat).
Jimmy Buffet played there last night and was the first show in the new expanded venue. Most said the sound was decent in the lawn, a bit pitchy towards the back, and traffic getting out was a nightmare. I also read (not substantiated) that those with seats or the prime GA directly in front of the stage will not have access to the lawn, which is nonstandard from my experience. I might be biking down the lakefront path for Phish, another gem of our great city.
Take lots of photos, the skyline view on a nice night is absolutely breathtaking.
Oh yeah, and Patrick Kane apparently brought the Stanley Cup onstage near the beginning of the Buffett set. I'm predicting we see Patrick Sharp do the honors at Wrigley.

I've already seen them, and can again at home in September. The phish fans go bananas for these shows, and I want to see what the big deal is.
I've seen them more times than I care to admit...and I'm seeing them in Aurora and again in Calgary in September.

How old is your son. The lawn will be very "green"
Much "greener" than a PJ show :wtf: .
