Would they include 'Of The Earth' on the new record when the song was released back in '10?
Like stated before: they played Brain of J for a time before it was included on Yield. And if I recall correctly Ed was saying something to this extent at London Calling in Hyde Park.
Once I read that of the earth is an outtake from Avocado, I read it around these boards, by the time of PJ20 era, during Canada and Latinamerica tour...

I remembered hearing about that too. That 'Of The Earth' was an outtake from Avocado. That's why I find it odd that it would even be listed on the new album. Maybe put on a B-side or put on a Lost Dogs Part Deux.
Isn't TSIS the jokesters from April fools day that already "leaked" the album once? Low on the cred meter for me.

They supposedly had audio of the new album which smelled like BS from the beginning. I know its a fan site, but they need to drop that nonsense if they want people to rely on their site for legitimate updates.

I really don't like the short songs either. They need to stop writing those short punk songs and go in the direction Of The Earth was heading.
I agree with this. I'm really not into punck or the Pearl Jam songs that have a punk influence. Enough already with that. I liek long hard rockers like Of the Earth!

and deep in my heart, I hope TSIS is wrong, but it's quite unlikely...
Same here. And I was hoping for an album nothing like Backspacer. Obviously we don't know what it will be like yet, but I wasnt hoping for another short album.

Seems fake to me with of the earth. Doesn't seem like PJ move to include an old song. I'd rather another new song instead.
I may be wrong, but I believe Mike mentioned in an interview that they were considering putting "Of The Earth" on the new album. I believe he also mentioned that this would make a good name for the new album. Anyone out there with a better memory please feel free to refute or substantiate.
I'd rather Of The Earth be a B-side because we already know the song. I'd prefer a brand new song. Although it will be sweet to hear a studio take from Of The Earth.

Why are so many folks getting worked up about two 2-minute-tunes on a supposed track list of the new album? Almost every PJ record has 1-3 2-minute-tunes. Relax!

And it begins...Here's the itinerary for the next 3 months:
The person who claims to have heard the album, but is lying their ass off. These will be sporadic, but they always post way too early in the game and don't stand a chance of being legit.
The person who has an "inside source" about tour dates. But never reveals the inside source and/or the tour dates....just that they know.
The person who is a friend of a friend of a the band and comes on here to give a song by song detail. They've actually heard the album but everyone on here refuses to believe them no matter how much proof they give. As though it's shocking to believe that someone got to hear the album before them.
The person who has the album leak and makes painfully obvious innuendos about the leak and asks for people to PM them (the post will always end this smiley: ), resulting in a mod work day entirely made up of locking and deleting album leak threads by the hundreds.
The person who posts that they have the album on Friday October 4th because they're record store clerk gave it to them early. They'll gloat so much like they just pulled off the final scene from the Thomas Crown Affair.
Then the album release day. when some people love it; some hate it; some think it's okay. One person always posts that the band is breaking up and it can be found in the lyrics of some song.
One person is going to make an over dramatic post about how awful the album is and they're now through with the band and this board for good. Only to show up 3-4 weeks later to discuss concert merch.

Weird, because I thought it was 'sine fine', in latin.
In French, you would've said "Sans fin".
