Hey boys, and gals. I am a newfie living in Toronto. I went home last August, finally climbed Gros Morne, what a fuckin treat. Notin but friggin rocks.I loved it. Hadn't been home in years.I am from Deer Lake.My cousin saw Pearl Jam in St.John's.Was it a great show? I saw my first show last sept in T.O. Amazing. If the guys had a ball on the Rock, they'll be back I'm sure. I'll join any thread to beg them to do an outdoor show. Nothin beats an outdoor show and beer tent andSuch!!!! What about Quidi vidi park? Is that still an option.I saw Def Leopard, Meatloaf and April Wine there years ago, 1993 I think. LOvin you all , cheers T.C.

  • Yes, yes he does. Havin' a great playoffs this year and I'm secretly hoping that the Canadians win the cup... and I fucking hate the Canadians. I just think it would be cool to have the cup on the island for a while.

Bowring Park for PJ would be unbelievable... or somewhere on Signal Hill. That would be incredible too and the by's sure love the ocean.

Anywhere outdoors on the rock and I'm there. Anywhere, anywhere on the rock for that matter.

Please come back. I hate to beg but... I can't help it. I'm going through PJ withdrawls.

it's that hometown pride syndrome hehe

same thing happenned to me in 2004, tampa bay make a run in the playoffs (hate that team) but our local island boy leads the way & takes the conn smythe! i could see Ryder doin the same thing this year, he's been solid all year and will probably step up now that captain koivu is out

does anybody have pics of bowring park? sounds interesting, a show anywhere near signal hill would be EPIC!

i was born in newfoundland. so i am giving this a bump.

PJ in the maritimes in 2007!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
  • Let's change that to PJ in Atlantic Canada eh? The Maritimes exclude Newfoundland....

  • Wow it's great to be back here! lol

I haven't hung out in this forum since midway 2006. Life changes... but it always seems to take you back home!

So... this is Jeremy, 2005 St. John's 10 Crawl and Pearl Jam Weekend organizer. I went by the nickname "Dajaaza" back in the day. Does anyone from our little clan frequent here anymore? I guess I'll find out if I get a response. I'll be attending the Edmonton show this September (moved to Alberta mid 2007), and can't wait to get some great memories and feelings flowing all over again from that super-special weekend in '05!

Anyone out there? Say... better yet, scream... "HELLO!!!"

I doubt Grand Falls will go for Pearl Jam. Salmon Fest is now for more "K-Rock" bands. Older more mainstream. I'd rather see them outdoors in town, but why are there no more big concerts outdoors in the city?

I know what ya mean but K-rock does play PJ a fair bit. I could sorta see it being ACDC next year
