This is wholeheartedly agree with. Matt can be way too fast which changes the dynamic of a song. Even flow used to be a whole lot groovier with Dave at the kit; it now travels at a million miles an hour. His cymbal work was brilliant.

People often say that Matt plays Even Flow way faster than Jack or Dave, but after some research, I think Matt must just deliver it in a way where it's perceived as faster. I picked a random sample of Even Flows, and here's what I came up with, in beats-per-minute:
    Dave: 1993, 116 bpm. 1994, 120 bpm
    Jack 1995 116 bpm, 1996, 116 bpm.
    Matt, 2000 120 bpm, 2004 120 bpm, and 2010 120 bpm.

Now the studio version is slower at 108. Maybe that's altering out perception. Go figure. Feel free to add your own.

Matt plays way to fast. Period. Jack was the man. Dave was great as well.
