sorry if this has been discussed:
i really think johnny cash's version of hurt is 1000x better than the original by NIN. the song has new meaning with his interpretation. cash is an old man with a lot of demons and personal troubles. you can tell that he wishes he could start again, a million miles away.
powerful.

I prefer all PJ versions of the The Who songs over the originals. Might have to do with the fact that I heard the covers first mainly, but so it is
Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue! http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0 -

Agree. I still curse my decision NOT to buy Santa Barbara tickets for the Ed Uke tour and just see Long Beach. Long Beach was great but I missed on hearing Ed's take on Cash's take on the NIN tune.
To this point if you revisit some of the songs that Trent Reznor has written you could see the huge potential for many different artists to interpret his stuff. Reznor is a tortured genius of a soul imo. His lyrics can be read aloud from many songs and be very poignant. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
