Our military carry guns of all kinds and to see them with guns hinders support. This is problematic.

Some people just prefer humble, not the in-your-fucking-face mentality. The picture in question just reminds me of a poster in here a few months back that was adamant about the USA being the "best country in the world," and all sorts of other convoluted, over the top, machismo. Too much of that is why a lot of the rest of the world dislikes us. I wish we'd just stop, and just earn some respect overseas.

    Godfather.

I hope your " ;) " meant you were joking. Or are you under the impression that MANPOWER, GUNS, and TESTOSTERONE is keeping us free? ;)

I think my country is the best in the world. I think my Dad who fought in WWII thinks it was too. You don't ok, I respect your opinion, but it's not everyone's. Since when is thinking our country is the best in the world left for macho macho men.
And all the rest of the world each individual probably thinks their country is the best but you say we
as Americans shouldn't. I'd rather say Fuck Yeah America! and let everyone have pride in their own countries.
That what you fear the most could meet you halfway

I absolutely never said I DONT think its the best country in the world. :? I dont know why you assumed that.
I just know when to keep my mouth shut and let actions speak for themselves, and not appear over the top. You missed my point -- my point is just to NOT flaunt it. I'd prefer having some couth in the matter, because, as i've said, this type of attitude (especially the over the top, like the poster I mentioned in the past) just makes other dislike us.

:? And I never said we shouldnt think we're the best. There's a big difference here. Couth -- We need a refresher course...
You can believe you're the best in the world all day long, just dont brag/flaunt. It looks insecure sometimes.

 You dont want me to tell you what I picture..

I've seen how far that over the top attitude gets folks most of the time, and its usually not as far as the cool, calm, and collected people who know how to represent themselves with couth.

And dont get me wrong, some over the top folks are Ok - we need a balance. But its just not how I'd prefer we represent ourselves to the rest of the world.

A "pinkie up" insult? See the Posting Guidelines please. This thread is going downhill fast so to avoid it hitting rock bottom, it's done now.
