Gotta admit this ones pretty funny!I used to have a shoe box of those toy soldiers. (My brother and I referred to them simple as "army men".) As boys, that was part of our indoctrination to violence.
Jim Morrison once said: "America was conceived in violence. Americans are attached to violence. They attach themselves to processed violence, out of cans." (Jim Morrison: Ten Years Gone by Lizze James - Creem Magazine, 1981)"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -
jim morrison's dad was a rear admiral in the navy & served on several different naval ships including the aircraft carrier, 'bon homme richard' & was present in the gulf of tonkin off the coast of north vietnam.

No one prays for peace more than the soldier who is tasked to face the horrors of war.

Anyone who believes in the "Fuck yeah, Let's Go Kick Some Ass"... is more than welcome to strap on the Kevlar and pick up a weapon and hop on the next transport to Kabul... rather than sit on their fat lazy asses in the comfort of their living room and send someone else's son, daughter, father, mother to do their political bidding. it is a fuck yeah I'm behind my country. Fuck yeah America! Fuck yeah Patriotism!
That's was the idea behind my thread. This is what my father a WWII POW would have liked.
He would want us to celebrate that along with each Military individual on Armed Forces Day,
gun lovers or not. That what you fear the most could meet you halfway0 -

If that was truly the sentiment of your post then I do not disagree. But the choice of photo was provocative. I would have gone with something like this:___________________________________________

I totally agree the only thing missing is those former mates of mine firing those weapons in the op image.
BTW, love your image on how it shows the varying faces in our military today.

Totally agree. Photos like the one in the OP only hinder my ability to "support the troops". Guys waving guns about isn't something I really support. The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.

Our military carry guns of all kinds and to see them with guns hinders support. This is problematic. That what you fear the most could meet you halfway0
