    So after busting our asses for 4 hours, I told Kathy I was going to take a break. Kathy decided she was going to the store and pick up some steaks.

    In the 20 minutes that she was gone.

    I knocked that FUCKING GAZEBO down to the ground!!!!!

    Fucking neighbor yesterday. We work in the yard for 4 hours, everything is going fine, and then he has to come over and throw his 2 cents in. My chainsaw needed a new blade, so I went and bought one. Then I went and attacked the last root, stump, whatever. He tells me the chain isn't set right.

    I don't give a fuck! Its the last root. So then he goes to adjust the damn thing, and of course he couldn't. Then he couldn't get the fucking thing put together. Then he tells me I bought a cheap chainsaw.

    With that, I said thanks for trying, then walked away.
    5 minutes later he watched me destroy that gazebo with my bare hands. No tools involved. I tore that fucker to the ground, and destroyed it with my bare hands. I think the neighbor knew that I might be a little pissed.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    I have plenty to keep me busy for a few hours today, then we go see the Mommies. Then tomorrow I will go see John the mechanic and have him put the chainsaw together. I figure it will take him 30 seconds. :lol::lol::lol:

    Moving right along.
    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    I said FUCK renting that tiller, and decided to turn that shit over by hand.
    Put down 20 bags of top soil to make it all pretty.
    Going to put down the edge tomorrow(going to wait a while before I put down brick). But at some point this year there will be a brick edge. So for now its just a $20 roll of cheap rubber edge. Then I will go buy some weed fabric, and throw that shit down. Then top it off with mulch. Ill be done with this shit at some point tomorrow.

    And I thought this would take all week?
    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Next week I will go drop $300-$400 on shrubs, perennials, and some pretty flowers.

    Tomorrow I'm starting to clear out the side yard (which is totally overgrown) so I can plant the orange tree. The boys gave me one for Mother's Day so I need to get it into the ground! :)

    Vacations spent landscaping are all too familiar over here too. Last summer we (really I) recreated the front yard by building a 5 foot by 30 foot bed to border the driveway. I had to build up the border of the bed about 3 feet in some places to make the bed level with the driveway because the lot slopes down toward the street. Then fill in with I can't remember how much top soil (a lot). We had beautiful bushes planted that will eventually become a privacy hedge (that's the only part I didn't do myself bc I'm sure I would have killed them). The bushes survived the winter and are currently blooming beautifully. Today we started a new much smaller project. Had to remove two bushes that are half dead to clear out another bed for flowers. I never saw hubby come off the couch so quick as this afternoon when I suggested hooking up the bushes to his car to pull them out easily. :lol: poor thing needs a truck but the camry still got the job done. :lol: fun times. Hope your project continues to go well. I bet you felt an amazing sense of satisfaction at bringing down the gazebo.

    this is rewarding work and an orange tree ... sweet! 8-)

    I planted a peach tree in our last yard. I would love to see how big it got in 20 years.

    Well, the garbage guys who pick up all the lawn shit will be here in about 10 minutes. They aren't going to be to happy with what I have for them. :lol::lol::lol::lol: But I will buy them lunch. Then its off to Menards for some mulch. Finish this shit up, and go find my fishing poles.

    I now am the proud owner of a fire pit.
    I outlined the little area with pavers and had a nice little fire going tonight.
    Tomorrow or Wednesday I will dig out the area, throw in some gravel, toss in some sand, and put those pavers in place.

    And of course the garden bed isn't complete, because I was short 2 bags of mulch!
    :lol::lol::lol:
    But its 97.9% complete.
